This is Carlos Gregorio Hernandez Vasquez.
Just 16 years old when he entered the US alone, on May 13, 2019.
He was a healthy child.
An optimistic child.
He was alone when he died 7 days later in a Border Patrol Station in Texas.
Carlos is the most recent of the #TrumpSeven.
2/ Carlos had 8 younger siblings who called him Goyito.
He loved playing soccer and music, especially piano and bass.
Carlos came to US to help support his brother Edgar who has special needs.
When he arrived in Rio Grande Valley (RGV), he was healthy.
3/ Children like Carlos are supposed to be in Border Patrol custody for 3 days or less.
Carlos spent SIX DAYS in McAllen BPS — without reason — instead of transferring to ORR custody.
Carlos (from Guatemala) was caged with people from Honduras, El Salvador, Brazil, Nicaragua…
4/ KIDS SHOULD NOT BE IN CAGES.

5/ On his sixth day in a cage, Carlos told Agents he did not feel well.
A nurse diagnosed him with influenza and prescribed Tamiflu.
He was transferred, NOT TO A HOSPITAL — despite recent flu-related deaths of TWO other children in U.S. custody — but TO ANOTHER BORDER STATION.
6/ At Weslaco, Carlos was placed in isolation.
Supposedly Agents checked on him every hour.
Agents say they fed him at 2AM, but the Doctor who performed his autopsy and reviewed the surveillance video marked, inexplicably, that the time stamp was wrong.
7/ At some point during the wee hours in the middle of the night, Carlos was on the floor, vomiting.
Carlos crept to the toilet, and slowly sat upon it.
Later, he leaned back and died.
Alone.
His body was discovered at 6AM.

10/ Once again, it is Border Patrol Agents’ callous Lethal Neglect of lives under their authority that led directly to Carlos’ death.
They flouted our laws on how long kids can be in custody.
They are still flouting our laws.
11/ REPEAT:
Border Patrol Agents kept Carlos in a Border Patrol Station locked room instead of sending him to a hospital, where he could get the care he needed, when he was dying of influenza.
Treatable disease killed Anne Frank.
TREATABLE DISEASE KILLED CARLOS VASQUEZ.
12/ Anne Frank did not die in a gas chamber.
Anne Frank died from typhus, an illness caused by unsanitary conditions and Lethal Neglect.
Typhus is specifically spread by lice and fleas.
Typhus is not lethal if caught in time.
13/ Carlos Vasquez got sick in a cage in a Border Patrol facility in Texas.

Carlos died of treatable illnesses, primarily influenza.
If he had been vaccinated, he might have lived.
On Aug 21 2019 — a few months after he died — President* Trump decided NOT to vaccinate ANY children in US custody.
