Good question. I see you got a lot of responses from #YangGang.

There won’t be any price controls on Main Street businesses because it’s a free market so you can take that off the table.

Local businesses have been struggling to compete against big box retailers...

When they finally have more people in their community coming in to get haircuts, car repairs and have things like dental repairs done...they’ll be thrilled for the steady business.

Jacking up prices would push away those very customers...

Local businesses don’t operate like an oil cartel and thus don’t collude on price fixing. They aren’t nature more pure market driven.

The second thing that will happen is they will need to hire more people as the demand increases...

So not only will people have an extra $1,000 / month they will also be able to take the local jobs that they actually want to work at.

And since our seniors won’t be forced to work in their retirement,

@Lau_Bast @jkennyamdg @AndrewYang That will free up more entry level jobs like bag groceries or being a server for younger folks and college students.

Right now people are working multiple jobs to make ends meet.

This plus other factors distorts the employment numbers to seem like we are at full employment...

@Lau_Bast @jkennyamdg @AndrewYang So in reality, we will not have to worry about price controls, shortages or inflation from any form of #UBI or the #FreedomDividend.

$1,000 per month will be absorbed and then lubricate the wheels of our rusty local economies.
