[1] A thread on the current situation in #İdlib and northern #Hama. The amount of human suffering caused by forced displacement and deliberate targeting of civilians, healthcare facilities, and water resources is, even in the Syrian context, an extreme beyond the extremes.

[2] Almost 600 K were displaced over the last 3 months. This is the biggest and most acute displacement since 2011. to put it into context, this is more than 5 doubles the displacement during last year offensive on #daraa , #Ghouta and the whole southern region.

[3]the majority people currently being displaced already had been displaced multiple times from other parts of #Syria. Those refused the option of returning to GOS areas before and still do, due to concerns on their safety, those need a final destination, not temporary shelter.

[4] #Idlib already in dire humanitarian situation before the current offensive. Destroyed water infrastructure that was barely enough now is beyond overburdened. This means high risk of waterborne diseases for a population that was already living in an unstable situation.

[5] Chronic diseases are a major cause of morbidity & mortality in #Syria. #idlib have barely enough life saving health services.
For displaced people, a major concern is their access to treatment in their new overwhelmed IDPs sites, nevertheless children and maternity health.

[6] some numbers from April 26th in NW:
- over 950 fatalities, 1 to 3rd are children.
-over 5000 injuries only in SAMS hospitals.
- attacks on humanitarian infrastructure: 40 on health facilities, 50 on schools, 29 on water networks.

[7] more numbers on #Idlib :
- Among 600 k IDPs, there are 125k women& girls in reproductive age, only 35k of them have access to basic services like dignity kits. This raises concerns on increasing GBV due to bad living conditions and lack of access to services.

[8] more numbers from #Idlib
-150k school aged children among IDPs, and in need of education، while other 250 k children are affected.
-94 schools are used as temporary shelter, and schools start in 20 days which leaves children without schools, or IDPs without shelter.
