Happens that as we mark today 80 years since the beginning of #WW2 my follower count hits 1000 years after the war ended.

Will humanity remember this catastrophe and learn some lessons in a thousand years time? >>

If we’re still around in a thousand years, and our species hasn’t yet committed global suicide in one way or another, if so then the deadliest war in history (to date) surely won’t be forgotten.
But will it be commemorated?
Will lessons be learned? >>

Perhaps what allowed the #Jews to survive, as a people, for so long, despite millennia of persecution, is the fact that Jews have for centuries over centuries commemorated events that occurred thousands of years ago >>

The destruction of the Jewish temple in #Jerusalem by the Romans; the forced exile from #Judea -
these events took place some 2,000 years ago but were commemorated and mourned for all those years, and still are to this very day >>

Napoléon once said that “A nation that cries and fasts for over 2,000 years for their land and Temple will surely be rewarded with their Temple”.
He was right.
The Jewish People regained independence and self determination in the same land they were expelled from >>

80 years after #WW2 and let’s hope that in a thousand years time, the lessons of that war will still be learned from 👇🏻
