How does the #TrumpBudget impact veterans and their families?

Scroll through to see how deep cuts to key social programs and services impact millions of veterans and their families.

The #TrumpBudget cuts #Medicaid by $900 billion over the next 10 years.

This cut puts the health and security of over 1.7 million veterans at risk — especially those who need intensive care for conditions like traumatic brain injuries and musculoskeletal disorders.

Approximately 9.3 million veterans rely on #Medicare as their primary or supplemental insurance.

The #TrumpBudget cuts #Medicare by $500 billion over 10 years leaving these veterans with uncertainty about how to pay for the care they need.

The #TrumpBudget plans to cut $292 billion from programs that support working & vulnerable families.

This includes a $182 billion cut to #SNAP — harming the 1.3 million veterans that live in households participating in the program.

No veteran deserves to be food insecure.

Helping homeless veterans requires an all-hands-on-deck approach.

With zero new HUD-VASH vouchers & slashed funding for HUD itself, the #TrumpBudget proposal is not the solution we need to help homeless veterans find and sustain permanent housing.

With deep cuts to programs such as #SNAP, #TANF, and #Medicaid, the #TrumpBudget fails to understand how important the #SocialSafetyNet is to veterans and their families.

The men and women who served our country need to know that we have their back.
