So last week I called my worker and she wasn't in so I left a message with like a backup or intake worker. I received no call back in 72 hours so I called again and requested to talk to her supervisor. Was sent to voice mail and again I left a message.

I have received no call back from anyone and it's regarding getting my medication. Which was initially covered 100% and had been covered for the past six years that I have been on AISH. Well ever since the #kenneyscuts have happened.....I have had to pay out of pocket.

I had to pay out of pocket for the past three months. Thank God that I had family to help cover my mess because just one med alone is $547.00 per month.

Then all of as sudden one day when I was getting my monthly medications refilled....my pharmacist told me that they were covered again. When I asked why all of a sudden they were covered again, they said it was most likely because there was no generic alternative.

So I called my worker and asked to get my money back. Because I had submitted the receipts. What she told me next left me absolutely speechless.

She said: “AISH will be doing a review of all AISH clients to see if they meet the new requirements set out by the government.”

I then said: “Well what about the people who have been on AISH for 3,5,10, or 15 years or more?”

She said: “If AISH determines that they meet the eligibility requirements and are not able to work then they will continue to be allowed to collect AISH.....

But if they dont meet the requirements then they will be cut off and told to obtain employment thats suitable for their specific needs”

I asked her about me and she said: “Again if you meet the eligibility requirements great. If not then you will not be eligible for the program”

I have tried calling my worker back but no one is calling me back or even taking my calls! So what do I do since nobody is calling me back. Who do I contact.

Every time I have to call my worker and I actually am able to talk with her, by the end of our conversation I am in tears. She belittles me and is rude to me when all I am doing is asking questions. She calls me names like stupid or idiot too.

I can’t get a word in edgewise and She interrupts me and I just cry when I talk to her or have to call her cause she's just plain rude and extremely rude to me. She doesn’t care about her clients and she is also kind of a you know what to people who are disabled and on AISH.

I have talked 2 other people who have her as a worker & they too are scared 2 talk 2 her & are afraid that she will act her frustrations out. 1 person said he was threatened with having AISH cancelled by her because according to her he called his worker too many times in a month

I do not know if I am allowed to say her name but I’m afraid if I do she will know who was complaining about her.

I am in the Calgary/Edmonton region
