1] WAS THE MDC-ALLIANCE AGREEMENT ABANDONED?
One of the headaches facing individuals with an interest in MDC political squabbles is on what the MDC-A is.
Is it a party?
Is it an electoral vehicle?
Is it a coalition which died soon after elections?
Here's something interesting:
2] Whereas there is a fixation with certain clauses of the original #MDC-A agreement as signed by #PresMRT, we have ignored some clauses
Or alternatively, #Mwonzora has chosen to never address them.
All this point out to a subtle transformation that perhaps was sloppy.

3] #MDC-A logo
The original #MDC-A agreement spoke to a logo with #PresMRT (Presidential candidate) & other parties surrounding it.
This provided for a clear distinction.
However, towards the elections, that logo actually changed.
What does this tell us about the #MDC-A?
4] The #MDC-A agreement as signed by #PresMRT also spoke to each party maintaining its original status.
This would continue into #Parliament where each party has its own #ChiefWhip.
As a matter of fact,there is only 1 #LeaderOfParliament & 1 #ChiefWhip.
What does this tell us?
5] The #MDC-A agreement as signed by #MRT had a clause which maintained that each party would have its own #PR candidates.
Again, this was never followed through.
Post elections, there were no individual part forums to choose bi-election candidates etc.
What does this tell us?
6] Towards the #GweruCongress, leaders from diff parties were integrated.
It would have been illegal because only candidates from previous elections can go to #Congress.
There are also clauses about years in certain structures to be legibility.
This was never followed.
Why?
7] It is easy to observe that many aspects of the original #MDC-A #agreement, which originally centered on #PresMRT the person, changed.
This can only mean that the #PROCESS not #EVENT, of forming #MDC-A, the party, was gradual.
There can't be any other logical explanation.
8] I would agree that MDC Leaders were sloopy.
They could have attended to this better.
But parties are like this.
Outside squabbles, parties always behave with sloppiness, without anticipating how they expose themselves.
There are many ambiguous aspects in the MDC Constitution
9] We can talk about constitutions & so forth, but the same way businesses exist to make profits, parties exist to win political power.
They then use political weapons in their arsenal to achieve the purpose of their existence.
We are free to judge but its what it is.
enkosi!
