Hundreds - maybe a thousand protestors - walking down Pennsylvania right now en route to the White House. #dcprotests

Just a few minutes later, another group of probably at least a thousand people heading south, through the national mall. There are multiple groups of thousands crisscrossing the city right now. #dcprotests #BlackLivesMatter

I covered the women’s march in January 2017 and I’m tell you it is wild how many people are out here. There are MULTIPLE groups criss-crossing the city right now, all containing thousands of people. Not to mention the standing crowd at the White House.

Passed a mom as she leaned down to her elementary school aged son who looked tired and grumpy, and she said “I know it’s hard buddy but it’s for a good cause.” #dcprotests

A completely new group - also probably like 1000 people (I’m complete shit at crowd estimates) heading toward the national mall from the Capitol building. #dcprotests #blacklivesmattter

People just keep coming. #dcprotests #BlackLivesMatter

There’s a lot of thoughts out here about DC Mayor @MayorBowser. #DCProtests #BlackLivesMatter

City streets shut completely down for blocks and blocks around the White House / national mall

Also HUGE plows and dump trucks outside the White House/Eisenhower building — at the West driveway entrance (assuming it’s the same at the east entrance) — blocking the way for any cars.

Protesting In a Time of Coronavirus: This gentleman is walking around offering it to everyone he masses.

He’s not the first I’ve seen wielding a public use bottle of hand cleanser. #DCProtests #BlackLivesMatter

The wall of people extends to K street (1st pic) and then it thins out and you can actually walk (2nd pic). There are food trucks and music and it feels like half protest half block party. Still thousands and thousands of people.

Say hi to @POLITICOPro energy reporter @GavinBade out here repping his company baseball cap.

Hello it is protest corgi. #dcprotests
