Thank you @ameliagentleman for drawing attention to @JCWI_UK & @DOTW_UK's calls to #scrapNRPF.

Job losses due to COVID-19 have significantly impacted migrants with no access to benefits & they are now struggling to feed their families & pay rent in this #HostileEnvironment.

Since the start of #COVID19, we've seen a huge increase in calls to our advice line from people facing destitution.

Our Rapid Needs Assessment confirms that excluded people, but particularly those with NRPF, are experiencing new destitution & homelessness.

But there's hope...

We've made it easy for the gov, identifying 12 ways it can reduce the pandemic's impact on excluded groups, incl:

👉 lift the NRPF condition on all visas
👉 strengthen destitution prevention & support for people in vulnerable circumstances

This should be a priority for @10DowningStreet because:

🚨 No one should find themselves destitute during this crisis (to put it in the gov's own words).

🚨 Increased levels of destitution then increases people's susceptibility to COVID-19 & presents a public health risk.

Here are 3 things you can do to help:

1️⃣ Let your MP know you support calls to #scrapNRPF

2️⃣ Share the findings & recommendations of our COVID-19 Rapid Needs Assessment

3️⃣ Donate to @DOTW_UK to ensure our staff can continue providing healthcare & advice to excluded people
