.@capt_amarinder & #Congress govt tried to deceive farmers by issuing a false & misleading press statement about the All-Party meeting held yesterday. They committed 'breach of faith' by manipulating press release to show @Akali_Dal_ supported the resolutions moved by them. 1/6
We agreed to accompany the delegation to PM to clarify doubts if any but this was misinterpreted by Cong govt stating that @Akali_Dal_ would accompany to get the Ordinances withdrawn.I have written to CM deriding the manner in which they tried to mislead farmers & misquote me.2/6
There was no discussion on merit about the central Ordinances on agriculture, where we made it clear that there was no mention of ending #MSP or assured marketing in any of the #Ordinances. We had also pointed out that Ordinances didn't contain anything against federalism. 3/6
We had assured at the meeting that MSP and assured marketing won’t end. We as a party even said we were ready to get a written assurance on this account from the Union Agriculture minister and would get an assurance from Parliament also when the Ordinances were tabled there. 4/6
Ironically, neither CM nor the PCC president @sunilkjakhar had any answer when asked to clarify why the #Congress govt had passed all the provisions of the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce ordinance by amending the APMC Act in 2017, if these were anti-farmer. 5/6
During the #allpartymeeting, the @INCPunjab was supported by @AamAadmiParty which spoke its language and acted as a rubber stamp. Few other political leaders also displayed their close ties with the Congress party. 6/6
