So far I've not commented publicly on the @PeoplesMomentum #NCGvote. both @ForwardMmtm & @Mom_Renewal have good people on their slates but both groups *collectively* have failed to make a strong political case for their slate. Neither has publicly stood against the false... /1

...accusations of anti-Semitism that divided the Labour left and undermined the only genuinely pro-working class, anti-racist & internationalist leader our party has ever had: #JeremyCorbyn. This is critical because part of the left capitulated to the smears, sealing our fate. /2

Anyone on the left who believes that if we keep our mouths shut about atrocities perpetrated by #ApartheidIsrael, if we quietly back away from #BDS & #Palestine solidarity, if we silent while those falsely accused of anti-Semitism are silenced & expelled is DELUSIONAL. /3

These are not side issues for the #Labour left and our working class movement, this is about having the courage to act politically independently of our capitalist masters in the interests of oppressed people everywhere. That is the axis of the ruling elite's political attack. /4

But right now we have lesser goals: to simply unify the left to better defend ourselves against the emerging witch-hunt from #KeirStarmer and the right. Surely @ForwardMmtm & @Mom_Renewal can manage a joint statement in support of @RLong_Bailey & #MaxinePeake? It's a low bar. /5

The politics almost emerged with a pledge list for candidates to not work with @workersliberty (AWL) candidates. But that in itself is the witch-hunting tactic of the right. We can only unite & win by being honest about our politics: fighting all forms of racism seriously... /6

...including #Islamophobia & anti-Semitism by denouncing the false claims given left cover by @workersliberty; showing genuine international solidarity by opposing US/UK imperialism everywhere (Iraq, Syria, Yemen Palestine & beyond): to defeat the faux-left & build left unity. /7

So who do we vote for in the @PeoplesMomentum #NCGvote? I will tell you who I voted for, not that it matters much, but more important is who NOT to vote for: those who have the tacit support of @workersliberty. Not content with being largely voted off the @ForwardMmtm slate... /8

...the AWL have put forward additional candidates under the banner of the hilariously named "Momentum Internationalists". So I would ask comrades to not vote for: Ruth Cashman & Kasun Witana or those on the @ForwardMmtm slate backed by the AWL: Abbie Clark, Nadia Whittome... /9

...and Ana Oppenheim. So my votes in the Midlands & East section go to: @AJScattergood, @misba70, @solma_ahmed of @ForwardMmtm & @hudaelmi_ of @Mom_Renewal. Now let us unite the left to fight for a Labour Party that will get off of its knees & defend working people! ✊🏿✊🏼✊🏾 /10
