How the fuck is this single dude being allowed into the club on his own. Maybe this is a new thing but, IRL, single men aren't usually allowed into alt / kink / BDSM clubs on their own. You'd have to arrive with a (woman) partner.

I mean, technically — prior to that — when I was still living in Amsterdam, I'd gone to places to watch live sex. But, somehow, those didn't seem like "kink clubs". Sex isn't as stigmatized in The Netherlands as it is here.

Hell, in MOST countries considered our GDP peers, sex isn't as stigmatized as it is here.

In my experience, kink couples are much better at actually discussing & negotiating boundaries than vanilla couples.

About that last piece, I'm glad @joshrogin wrote it (and the filmmakers created the film highlighted in the piece) because it does a great job sharing a story about how we need to challenge conventional wisdom (read: stereotypes) when it comes to various communities.
