If you’re heading to Bangsaen Beach this weekend you might want to turnaround now and go home. Unless your hotel has a nice swimming pool you won’t be able to swim in the sea due to all the plastic rubbish that has been washed up #Thailand

Further down Bangsaen Beach it’s a bit cleaner, though I’m not sure if it’s advisable to swim in the sea. I saw some glass bottles among the plastic. The weather is stormy at the moment and so most, though not all of the rubbish, is being washed up. #Thailand

Municipal workers are doing a beach clean up but really they are only scratching the surface. You need an army of people here to clean up Bangsaen Beach. But then, the next storm will just wash up even more. It will only stop when humans stop dumping rubbish in waterways

Video clip of the rubbish washed up on Bangsaen Beach this afternoon. Even if you clear this now, even more rubbish will be washed up on the next tide. Unfortunately this is quite common at this time of year. In November the water is crystal clear #Thailand #beatplasticpollution

I know some people are angry with me, but it is not my style to look the other way when I see a problem. And #plasticpollution in #Thailand is a big problem. I actually like Bangsaen beach. It is good for a sea breeze and seafood. I come here often. Though not to swim that much.
