Deutsche Bank allowed #Epsteinâs suspicious activity to proceed largely unchecked. Instead of doing due diligence on Epstein and his banking activity, the bank focused on his potential to âgenerate millions of dollars of revenue as well as leads for other lucrative clients.âđ¤Ź
Epstein sent $2.65 million in 120 wire transfers through accounts established in the name of an entity called the Butterfly Trust. Some of those paymentsâplus money from other accountsâwent to 3 co-conspirators related to his 2008 guilty plea in Florida.
In 2015, a specialist in Deutche Bank's anti-#MoneyLaundering department raised concerns about #Epstein, but unusual activity was then flagged only if it was unusual for Epstein. Payments to a #Russianđˇđşmodel & PR agent were dismissed because the transactions were ânormal."
It's no surprise to anyone that #Epstein was funneling cash to buy off his co-conspirators and silence his victims.
The *real* story that has yet to be told is where did all of #Epstein's money come FROM.
