1/ Founder Puzzles. Cover stories. Part V. Karachi.

Two frames this time for the city and people I love.

At the very start, I thought one would have to run away from home to build #startups that change the world.

Too much baggage, too much history. Perhaps a fresh start?

2/ When I came back 10 years later I realized that despite challenges, despite shadows, home is where you will make it work.

People you grew up, your family, your network, random strangers - everyone opens doors for you.

Because they want to. Not because they have to.

3/ I am here today because many held out their hands when I was down and needed help. Again and again.

Early days when I would forget bus fare for school at home and a kind soul would pay it.

Friends who would worry and check in if I would disappear from their lives.

4/ I remember an icon in the financial world ripping into someone because they made fun of my work in his office, right at the very start.

"He is trying. When was the last time you did that."

I didn't understand his anger but I knew the feeling.

Someone had my back.

5/ A client calling me in to make sure I raised the invoice in time so that the check would clear before payroll was due for the month.

Another making connections, opening doors, closing deals because he felt I needed the wins.

A third telling me I was charging too less.

6/ These were random strangers. I met them professionally. My calling card was my work. They wanted the world to see it.

They didn't owe anything to me or to my family. They never asked anything in return.

They were paying it forward.

7/ We all dream of opportunities outside our boundaries.

We dream of travel. Of making it to the cover of pages that matter.

Of donating millions to our alma mater so that they can move the campus back to civilization from bhains colony

Of changing millions of lives.

8/ Start by changing one. Here at home.

Start with now. With what you have. With what you can.

Your path may be different. And so would be your mileage.

But we are all going to end up back here. Not because we have to.

But because we would want to.

9/ Home is where the heart is.

I wasn't lucky or blessed. I was home.

Home where people bought from me because they felt the city needed the win.

Buy from young founders. Hold out your hand. Open doors. Show them the way. Pay it forward. Make them feel they have come home
