Today, the @HoustonHealth reports 412 new cases of #COVID19, bringing Houston's total top 26,012. The number of deaths increases by 5 to 250.

The numbers are moving in the wrong direction and the next couple of weeks are critical in slowing the spread of #COVID19.

ICU bed usage is at 45.2% of base capacity. We must #flattenthecurve to protect everyone's health, safety and avoid overwhelming our hospitals.

HPD Chief @ArtAcevedo: 219 HPD employees are in quarantine, 165 police employees have tested positive for #COVID19 and 54 are waiting on results. One sergeant is on a respirator and two other employees are in the hospital.

21 Solid Waste employees have tested positive for #COVID19 which is causing a delay in garbage collection.

I want to reiterate to all of our testing sites that we are NOT asking for your status. If you are documented or undocumented, you can get a #COVID19 test at any of our sites.
