There are reports of “multiple explosions” heard west of #Tehran, near #Karaj, along with additional reports now circulating of power outages. Probably find a powerstation has gone boom again.

If it’s true of course. There are contradictory reports everywhere :)

I’m going to ignore this for a few hours and come back to it, the story will either be confirmed or denied properly. :)

Nothing. Is. Confirmed.

Context; this is in regard to 78975589976488 tweets talking about IRGC this and IRGC that, nothing is confirmed.

Note Fars News and all other outlets are quoting social media accounts at the moment and each other.

Tehran will be there in the morning, I’m off to sleep, I’ll post satellite imagery tomorrow/Saturday if there is or isn’t anything if this story hasn’t got are clearer by then. As for now please don’t fall for any images that are circulating, I haven’t seen one that isn’t old yet

Uh huh, i’m aware of the rumours and “confirmed” (nothing is confirmed) reports circulating today, as always, i’ll check, but this takes time :).

The areas around the places being talked about are clean, in a sense that you’d be able to spot on change, the are consistent in nature.

They*

No imagery yet I can share, privately however I can confirm there is no obvious damage to one of the “confirmed sites” at 35.751051, 51.123223/35.755276, 51.124833, Sentinel should do a pass tomorrow, if there isn’t anything higher resolution, for now, we wait. 1 down 3 to go.

#Karaj, West #Tehran, #Iran, a missile air defense battery location. “Confirmed” to have had an explosion per included tweet. Imagery courtesy of @planetlabs shows, well, no change, can’t say I am surprised.

I’ve check the other locations as well that people claimed were “confirmed” - nothing, nada, zip, zero.

IFFFFFFF there was an “explosion”, or any similar noise, for example, my guess it was a power substation or something similar going pop and then it went brought back online. IF anything really did happen.

Anyway, case closed.
