This is my friend Hajj Nadeem from Birmingham. He has made some of the best parenting decisions that I have ever seen in the UK He was a successful business man in the UK but he left it and moved to Syria for his two daughters and his sons.
When I was in the final years of Damascus, Hajj Nadeem moved to Syria with the sole intention that he wanted his two daughters and his young son to learn Arabic. He brought them to Shaam when the girls were about 4-5 years old.
He enrolled them in to Arabic schools and they began to memorise the Qur'an. They were blessed to see so many of the elder shuyukh. He and his wife sacrificed everything for these two girls.
In a few years, they picked up Arabic and then the Syria problem took place so what did he do? He moved to Istanbul and opened a business.
He enrolled his daughters in to Turkish schools and evening Islamic programs.
They both memorised the Qur'an and learnt how to speak Turkish. Now they are teenagers, they can speak English, Urdu, Turkish and Arabic. They have both memorised the Qur'an, sat in classes of the great scholars and studied this religion.
Imagine the greatness of that! His son was even younger than them and he is also fluent in Arabic and has memorised the Qur'an in Turkey. He is now enrolled in the institute of Shaykh 'Abd al-Razzaq in Turkey studying the sciences with our teachers.
Hajj Nadeem has one more younger child who is also in the process of memorising the Quran in Istanbul. Some parents do everything for the dunya of their children. They did everything for the akhirah of their children.
This religion spread through the sacrificing of souls for the nurturing of others.
