Announces cases in Kids under 5 - 17 new kids, one 4 months old.

5 new deaths: 58, 77, 71, 81, 87

Mortality rate has fallen from 3% to 2.5%

724 total deaths (66% in long term care facilities that @GovAndyBeshear’s administration, @CHFS_CaresforKy regulates and oversees)

Yet restrictions are imposed on the general public.

Speaking of long term care:

Beshear acknowledges long term care deaths are not up to date.

3 new deaths, 23 new cases, 1 new facility with an outbreak

As usual, he skips over any substantive strategies to stop the overwhelming amount of deaths in these facilities

Positive cases

811 inmates

Deaths = 8

We haven’t even been considering this, these deaths are also in the @GovAndyBeshear administrations regulation and oversight. Well over 2/3 of all deaths are within his administrations oversight. Yet he’s on our backs daily? #KYFreedom

Commutations: 1,200 made recently. Another 700 being screened for release from prison

Question on what steps were taken after data breach

@GovAndyBeshear downplays severity again. Says they are analyzing to make sure it’s not more serious. Mentions Commonwealth Office of Technology.

Note: @GovAndyBeshear’s CIO of Commonwealth Office of Tech is yet another campaign donor. Accounting experience but no experience w/ tech infrastructure. Replaced @MattBevin’s friend Chuck Grindle who had masters degree. Saved state tens of millions & paid all office debt down

@GovAndyBeshear asked about @KYGOP criticisms. Says he won’t speak to it because they “exist to criticize him.”

An interesting level of self aggrandizement right there.

Question on @Alvarado4Senate’s criticism of @GovAndyBeshear’s lack of communication. Says he knows of two calls made by @StevenStackMD to call Sen. Alvarado. Calls today’s committee meeting silly.

Question on if there is a breakdown of claims specific to Jefferson County.

Beshear doesn’t know.

Note: Seems like another incompetent attempt to fix this debacle.

Question on commutations of inmates:

Beshear says same criteria as before. Non-violent, non sex offensive, limited time left on sentence, looking at health factors.

Question on if steps taken at green river prison is the model to get other institutions under control. Answer is yes Beshear says.

Question on protests:

Reporter asks why is there a mandatory social gathering limit, but how can large groups protest?

Beshear says he was taken to court and lost. Says he can’t stop them.

Says our standard can’t be pointing fingers. Says we need to all do the right thing.

Question on if he knows when more inmates will be released.

Says they are in process but diligence is needed to look cases by case.
