Today, the #Elhiblu3 have to return to the court in #Valletta, #Malta. They stand accused of several crimes, including terrorism, for protesting the forced push-back of over 100 people to #Libya after the merchant vessel #Elhiblu1 rescued them in the Mediterranean Sea. 1/6

We call on the court in Malta to drop all charges – the three accused are not only innocent, they are heroes for preventing a push-back to a warzone in Libya and to torture camps! Free the #ElHiblu3! 2/6

The court hearing has now ended and there still is no development in the trial of the #Elhiblu3. Once more, the three will have to wait and wait for any movement in their case, with criminal accusations hanging over them. 3/6 elhiblu3.info

About 10 days ago, a trial was launched in Italy against the captain of the merchant vessel Asso 28 for having returned 101 migrants back to Libya, thereby breaching international law. These push-backs are a crime, not their prevention! 4/6

We hope that the Maltese court will realise that the #Elhiblu3 did not violate but defend rights - the right to life, to freedom & safety & to not be forced back to a place of war and torture. Watch our documentary on the Free #Elhiblu3 campaign here. 5/6
