Today #Tamilnadu govt will take its decision on #EPass and #Quarantine conditions for the month of September onwards
Though #MHA instructed that there should not be any restriction on people movements in the state or between states, #Tamilnadu was taking its own decision so far
Yesterday's #MHA order reinsisted that no restrictions can be imposed by State Govts without consulting Central Govt.
Logically this is not correct, I feel
Restrictions are based on the Infection counts and spreading trend on particular state. It differs from others
Hence state should allow to take decisions based on the situation.
As of now, the daily fresh infection in Tamilnadu is around 6,000.
At this tread allowing people movement and opening up without #Quarantine will increase the pace and goes uncontrollable
I wish the present system to continue.
Those who need to travel for Essential / Work purpose can be allowed with #EPass
But the Govt failed in tracking and controlling movements
So district borders checking and arrival PHA monitoring should resume again to control spread
Also the #EPass portal should be modified user-friendly by includint few more options for travelling like Medical Check up, Visit to ailing relatives, maintenance of properties etc.,
Lets see what @CMOTamilNadu @EPSTamilNadu @RAKRI1 @tnsdma decides on this issue today
