Time for our daily @GovAndyBeshear Fear Beer!
@GovAndyBeshear says it’s National #OverdoseAwarenessDay.
Overdoses have increased under his “leadership” due to the damaging impacts of his arbitrary and reckless economic shutdown in Kentucky.
@GovAndyBeshear retells the story of how he “pulled a driver from a car” who was overdosing. We were about to predict he would say this but he was on it too fast.
@GovAndyBeshear says, “The last color that he turned was dead.”
@GovAndyBeshear has matched his tie with the purple ribbon for #OverdoseAwarenessDay.
Here is the thread from this morning where we laid out questions we hope KY media will ask @GovAndyBeshear.
@GovAndyBeshear complements the Angel Initiative started under Governor @MattBevin
@GovAndyBeshear talking about the states VINE system which is a service for victims of crimes. Notifies on status of offenders. $551,000 in grant money is going to it.
On this note, don’t be deceived on your ballot this fall on the Constitutional amd of “Marsy’s Law.” Bad idea!
You’re going to hear how it “helps victims” but it undermines our justice system. Throws out innocent until proven guilty. Other states are regretting passing it. Vote NO.
@GovAndyBeshear now moving to his #Fast4AtFour which sounds like something a first year marketing student thought was a great idea.
First, a reminder of elections. Tells people to vote.
Second, travel advisory states⬇️⬇️
Third, Testing. @GovAndyBeshear says Kentucky is staying ahead. Encouraging people to get tested again. Sounds like Billy Mays selling Oxyclean. Really excited about the notion of us getting tested. 230 locations across the state!
@GovAndyBeshear rambling about cases close to school and sports and how we need to get tested and have to answer calls and follow advice.
@GovAndyBeshear now with a “neat” update on some road competitions. Transportation Secretary @JimGrayLexKY with the update
@JimGrayLexKY says when he brought these projects, @GovAndyBeshear said “neat-O! Let’s do it.”
We assume that’s what he said.
These daily briefings are turning slowly into a daily campaign ad for @GovAndyBeshear. He’s likely to not give these up even as #COVID19 fade.
Video from Fulton Co. talking about land and project for Industrial Park that the video identifies as having occurred under the @MattBevin administration.
Next up, Barron County. $500,000 going there to build an access road and turning lane.
These videos are deliberate on thanking @GovAndyBeshear 😂
Pathetic. Like father like son with these road project dollars.
Prediction: the video of the third project will also have a scripted narrator thanking @GovAndyBeshear.
Warren County: $500,000 extension of “Prosperity Drive” to help a facility under development there (definitely a Bevin administration project.)
Prediction was correct. Scripted as hell. Weird actually.
Comments on @GovAndyBeshear’s live video are saying they are only there for #COVID19 update, to hurry up and get on with it.
@GovAndyBeshear back to the podium. Says the Cork and Seal facility was his administrations work from start to finish.
Childcare update - changes being announced
Note: This is happening due to pressure pit on by state legislators.
@CHFS_CaresforKy with the update. Tech problems on our end. Lost video.
@CHFS_CaresforKy said this was a “learning process.” Said we’ve learned safety measures. Outlines new regulations:
- providing guidance to pods that’ve popped up (group sizes, outside is better, etc) for NTI
- Funding help new certified & registration ($2,500 to startup)...1/2
Jesus, they are extending special treatment for limited duration centers like YMCA for 90 days and will then get them to full licensure.
Those out of business are screwed! This is akin to proving Wal-Mart w/ special privileges and then awarding licensure while mom & pop suffer!
- Capacity limit increased from 10-15. No data provided on the logic of 15, but it’s better. Not enough to save centers. No mention of other guidelines being eased such as addressing nonsensical siblings regulations
381 new cases of #COVID19 reported. 44 school aged kids (11%)
48,396 total cases
Half of KY counties in yellow or red. @GovAndyBeshear says we need to wake up. We’ve been asleep. Pressures us to not exceed groups of more than 10 on Labor Day or Derby Day.
@GovAndyBeshear compared house parties to Russian Roulette.
3 new deaths reported ages 61, 75, 72
@GovAndyBeshear said turn your green lights.
Our lights are on for the lost unborn lives.
Positive social media was skipped today. Thank GOD!
Child care facilities report:
Long Term Care Facilities: BIG JUMP in deaths to 550 total! 2/3 of all deaths are in facilities within @GovAndyBeshear’s administrations regulatory oversight.
#BloodOnHisHands!
Numbers from the shaming of public k-12 schools. Most of those are in only a handful of counties. The KY #COVID19 website shows 90% of districts have 3 or less cases. Silly one size fits all “recommendation”
Colleges. MANY more cases than K-12. The difference in fearmongering between the two is stark! He moved on quickly from this slide.
Questions:
@ShelbyWKYT (we guess) asked of people are required or encouraged to get licensed.
A: Encouraged
Written question about @washingtonpost about herd immunity info from @realDonaldTrump new pandemic advisor
@GovAndyBeshear calls it reckless. @StevenStackMD calls or a failure of leadership and said it should come out of professionals mouth.
@TomL_Ky_Today asked one of our questions. Asking if #COVID19 death are overstated.
@StevenStackMD said “all the CDC said is only 6% of #COVID19 was only contributing cause.”
He’s said what we heard but just tried to spin it.
Finally acknowledges elderly and underlying health conditions are the ones most vulnerable and says 35% of Kentuckians are obese.
Then maybe start solving those issues, doc!
@StevenStackMD was really frustrated by this inconvenient fact.
Impressive that @StevenStackMD knows more than the @CDCgov. Why isn’t he running it?
Q: What are we seeing with cases originating from childcare facilities
A: @GovAndyBeshear says no cases originate there but the coming together of kids there makes it harmful when kids carry the virus home to elderly family.
@LASmithReports Q: (couldn’t hear, something about cases)
A: Positivity is 4.42%, btw @GovAndyBeshear hilariously alluded to more cases equaling more cases 😂. Insists we stopped exponential climb (but no decline. Last 7 weeks = highest cases on record).
@d_yetter Q: Are we learning about places not traditionally providing child care but providing?
A: Yes, @CHFS_CaresforKy said. Caterers and other business are opening up for NTI. Said they are inspecting for requirements (masks, distancing, etc). Limit is 15 like others.
@LASmithReports Q: if there is a spike, will he push back in-person start date
A: @GovAndyBeshear said he expect to start Sept 28
Note: How is he so confident? It’s more likely he has made up his mind that it’s too much pressure to keep pushing back. Will open despite numbers.
Arbitrary as always. No logic or data behind decisions.
@GovAndyBeshear somehow escaped that briefing without a single damn question asked about #unemployment.
Garbage reporting!
