We have moved from calling the former gov a "Hezbollah cabinet" to a "France government" in #Lebanon.
Shia and majority Christians members of the parliament shall not give the vote to the new cabinet, neither the Speaker will be present (his deputy)
Tomorrow, the newly elected Prime Minister Mustafa Adib will present the list of ministers to the President of #Lebanon @General_Aoun who would wait for a few days before approving the "French list" next week.
It is unclear how a new cabinet would succeed with this situation+
The new PM can't go to the Parliament when he needs 65 votes and those who hold these vote won't be present to support him.
The new PM of #Lebanon Mustafa Adib is either totally unaware of his presence on the planet Earth or believes #France can buy his success.
The Majority of the parliament belongs to the Christians of Tayyar al Watani (20 seats) of @Gebran_Bassil, the entire Shia seats (30) and their allies (15 seats). These should form a government and lead the country. Now they stand down and allow the minority to rule: unheard of.
The #US and #France (and most democratic countries who adopt elections of the parliament) leaders represent the largest political group of the Parliament. Not in #Lebanon this time.
Let us wait and see what #France is capable.
