As previously warned most Americans likely won't get immunized with a #coronavirus vaccine until mid2021. Even if a #COVID19 #vaccine is authorized by FDA, it will likely be in *short supply* after it's cleared for public distribution.
And the #vaccine—if proved safe & effective—will likely require 2 doses. States also face logistical challenges: setting up distribution sites and acquiring enough needles, syringes and bottles needed for immunizations.
Vaccinating hundreds of millions is NOT easy.

Bottom line: the best-case scenario is that we could have a #vaccine available in late 2020. Vaccinations of the broad population would begin mid-2021 + 2 doses needed.
Meaning: herd immunity will still take many months to achieve after FDA authorizes a #COVID19 vaccine for use.
