When Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaja Was Told To Salute A Mleccha 🔥
As a young prince, the Son of the great Kingsmaker Maharaja Farzand Shāhājiraje Bhonsale, Chattrapati Shrimān Shivaji Maharaja visited Bijapur (Karnataka) and saw the pathetic state of the local Hindus.
The following were his words when he was told to pay his respects to the Adilshahi Darbar!
Chattrapati Shrimān Shivaji Maharaja's reaction after entering Bijapur
Chattrapati Shrimān Maharaja refusing to attend the Adilshahi Darbar anymore.
And thus when Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaja visited the royal court, he is said to have turned red with furore and refused to offer any salute to the Badshah!
There were shops of cow-killer butchers with gory flesh of the sacred cows on display to all Hindus of Karnataka.
This loathsome sight boiled the blood of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaja when he was on his way to the palace, compelling him to smite down a cow-killer Butcher who was about to murder a calf.
The event obviously led to a huge controversy that a Mahratta prince had defied a Musalman in the very bastion of a Musalman sultanate!
The whole issue was relayed to the Sultan by the famous Mir Jumla who was a close associate of Maharaja Shahajiraje Bhonsale who then told the Badshah that such wretched display of meat of the sacred cow of Hindus was humiliating to Hindu Sardars who fought for his sovereignty.
The Badshah thus moved, immediately issued orders forbidding the slaughter of cows anywhere in the vicinity of his palace and forbade the sale of any cow-flesh within the vicinity of the city!
Thus Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaja finally began to grace the Adilshahi Darbar with his presence.
One day, when he and a band of his Mahratta friends were touring the city on horseback, they saw a cow-murderor butcher at the city gate squatting to lay out cow-meat for sale.
In an instant the Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaja drew out his sword and hacked him to pieces!
The widow of the wretch raised a rabble and went to the Adilshahi Darbar to protest against this act.
The Sultan simply waived off the complaint as the butcher had clearly violated his own royal injunction!
Thus Chattrapati Shrimān Shivaji Maharaja secured the defense of the sacred cows as a mere child!
