After a private birthday party in Dettingen on the Swabian Alb, 14 participants tested positive for the virus. Hundreds more people are in quarantine.
This was announced by the head of the Reutlingen district health office, Gottfried Roller. From September 12th to 13th, 33 people attended the party, for which no hygiene concept was necessary. In Baden-Württemberg, up to 100 participants are allowed in such celebrations.
According to Roller, seven schools in the Reutlingen district with more than 350 category 1 contact persons are affected, which means that they have had close contact with people who are known to be infected. A 14-day quarantine applies to them.
There are also contacts to four football clubs with 70 Category 2 contacts who, for example, were in the same room with infected people and for whom a risk assessment had been made.
The extent of the possible contagions became known through the illness of individuals, reported Roller.
