Thousands of people again demonstrated in London against the tightened measures taken by the British government against the corona pandemic.

A week after a similar mass rally on Saturday in Trafalgar Square, they denounced restrictions on civil liberties, criticized the closure of restaurants and rejected lockdown measures. Some even doubted there was a pandemic.

Rising numbers of infections, hospital admissions and deaths from the corona virus had caused the British government to tighten its measures. The UK has had the highest number of Covid-19 deaths in Europe at nearly 42,000.

A legislative process on Covid-19 is ongoing in parliament.
