In #mozambique 🇲🇿 A modern day #dunkirk moment is happen in the besieged by isis(iswap) city of #palma at this moment.

Ships and boats of all types small and big, oil tankers and ferry's too tug boats and small pleasure craft are taking people to safety ricking them selves. 1/?

Some of these vessels who went to the aid of the besieged people of #Palma were just passing #Mozambique . The crew of the vessels put there lives at risk to pick up who ever the could. The RO-RO/passenger vessel the blue fort was one such vessel.

But it also included tiny utility vessels like the "OCEANUS"

Here you see a general cargo vessel "INDUSTRIAL ROYAL" diverting from its course into the bay to pick up and help who ever they can, When's the last time something this selfless from so many people has happened?

I again cant state enough how crazy mix of vessles is being used by brave crews to go rescue the people of #Palma from isis(iswap)

Heres the British flagged 🇬🇧 tug on its way home in the company of other brave vessels who went to the aid of people who needed it most.

Heres another ship of the hodge podge fleet the "CATRO IX" passenger landing craft.

You can see its track that this unarmed civilian vessel left #Pemba To go help in the evacuation.

Here another vessel of the selfless hodge podge fleet a dutch 🇳🇱 flagged dredger the "Atremis"

Although the fleet is out at sea its not not sadly out of danger yet, Some of these vessels maybe damaged, overcrowded and some not even made for this open sea journey at night.

And on top of all that ISIS(IS-CAP*) earlier in the siege took over several vessels which they could use to harass any rescue vessels attempts in the #Palma bay or further on the way home! Link here to @Ambrey_Intel well made coverage of this

Here's an update on the "hodge podge" fleet who rescued the people of #Palma from (IS-CAP) isis and showing more vessel's coming to the cities aid.

I don't see any speed reduction or sharp movements from the fleet, so no signs of attacks or any danger to it!
#Mozambique

Here a small gif by @Mylastjobbefore Shows the "hodge podge" fleet rescuing people, then coming together as one fleet to the open ocean and most likely down to #Pemba

Another update! Seems the one the first vessels to rescue some of the population from the #ISIS besieged city of #Palma , #Mozambique is about to round the corner into #Pemba port.

2 vessels, 1 offshore supply vessel and 1 landing craft.
Making there way into #Palma bay.

Hopefully meaning the bay is safe and the shore of #Palma is safe but that is all speculation.

Another vessel The Sonja A general cargo vessel pulling into #Palma this morning to help the rescue operation.

It sailed from #Pemba through the night to reach Palma this morning.

Also it seems one of the vessel's I documented earlier at the mouth of the bay the "Pelican unity" a supply ship.

Made its way into #Palma bay at the break of dawn collected people of the beach and is now heading back out to sea presumably back to #Pemba.

Cant state this enough, Ships that haul containers, People that just deliver goods are delivering People from a cut off city 1/3 burnt down and in the possess of being sieged by ISIS (IS-CAP) to safety by ordinary people doing extraordinary things!

Two of the faster vessel's that left last night with the "Hodge Podge" fleet with people who manged to escape #palma made to the friendly port of #Pemba

I cant imagine what the scenes are like when a whole bunch eclectic ships forming a fleet rounding into #pemba looks like!

The rest the "hodge podge" fleet is soon closing in on the safety of #pemba port.

I hope from all this horribleness that we can see whenever theres #ISIS there will be people to fight back and risk there lives to save others out of nothing but compassion.

So good news is the "hodge podge" fleet this morning made it into port at #Pemba.

I cross referenced the vessel's in the back round with whats showing up on my marine tracker and it lines up so its from today or yesterday!

Thx to lucky13 for bringing this to my attention.

Another vessel the UAE flagged 🇦🇪 Cargo vessel "ZEHRAH 1" On its way back too #pemba from rescuing people from #palma. This afternoon.

Satellite Photos from the area of #Palma were updated today including the new port being built in the South East of the city near "total" gas/oil company's compound.

This is the area that the locals and workers fled to and are holding up in and being collected by vessels.

Ships and boats are still continuing up and down from the besieged #Palma carrying people fleeing from #ISIS affiliated militia to the safety of #Pemba
