Izuku was miserable.

Not in a terrible way, just that every time he thought he was moving forward in his life, it felt as if something was holding him back.

It was as if life itself found it a point to joke around in his love life.

He took another sip of his beer as he glanced around the overly crowded room of the bar he was in. His eyes constantly searching for that stock of blonde hair he was both hopeful and dreading to see.

It had been a good year or two since the last time he saw his ex in person and just over five years since they broke up.

And about three years since they last had sex.

Granted, it was a drunken heat call which ended up being a huge mistake since he woke up, out of heat with

No partner in sight and just the faint smell of alpha in rut.

Izuku had held a hatred over himself ever since which caused their last meeting to be a train wreck where he got too drunk and spat cusses in his ex’s face.

He wasn’t proud of himself, but his omega sure was giddy.

He took another drink of his beer as Shouto grabbed his attention towards something on his phone. He smiled at the picture, remembering when it was taken.

He was absentmindedly listening to Shouto explain something to their table as he glanced around. His heart slowly sank

Again as he realized once more (as he has a lot over the last few years) that he was the only single friend in this whole group.

Shouto and Momo. Tenya and Ochako. Tokoyami and Tsuyu. Ojiro and Hagakure...

He glanced at the other table right next to them and saw even more of

Their friends. Denki and Shinsou. Hanta and Jirou. Tetsutesu and Itsuka. And of course the couple of the hour, Eijirou and Mina.

They were newly engaged, had been dating for years before Eijirou finally popped the question.

The group was all finally back together, sans one

Very important person, but they were all here celebrating the newly engaged couple for a shower of sorts.

At that moment the door to the bar opened and in walked Izuku’s wetdreams material and his nightmare all in one.

Katsuki Bakugou.

TBC?

Had to get this off my chest cause it’s very uh, heavily realistic to my own life and I need to get these feelings out one way or another 🤣🤣

So hope you all enjoy!

Everybody’s Got Somebody But Me

#bkdk #katsudeku #bakudeku #ktdk #omegaverse #Exs splash of #bakucamie #omegaverse #alphakatsuki #omegaizuku but it’s not bad

Realistic world setting as this is based on my own life 😜

Kirishima launched himself out of his seat and ran towards the blonde to envelope him in a hug.

“Dude you’re finally here! What took so long?!”

Katsuki grunted as he gave his best friend a one armed hug in return. “Someone needed a fucking ride so I went out of my way to get

her.” He shot his thumb over his shoulder and Mina’s high pitch screech caught everyone’s attention as it sounded throughout the crowded bar.

She raced forward to practically tackle the person behind Katsuki, and it wasn’t until Katsuki and Kirishima moved out of the way that

Izuku realized why Mina was shouting.

Her long time friend and coworker, Camie, was behind her giving her a big grin as they rocked back and forth and talking in each other’s ear.

Izuku’s heart beat fast as he took a look from Katsuki and Camie, seeing the small smile on

the male alpha’s face as he watched the two girls hug. He felt a tap on his shoulder as Ochako nodded her head towards the bar, and Izuku quickly got up to follow her.

“Are you okay, Izuku? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

Izuku looked back over his shoulder seeing Camie

sit next to Katsuki as he sat across from Kirishima and Mina. Everyone at their tables were exchanging hellos.

He turned back towards the bar, missing the red eyed look that was shot his way, but round brown eyes caught it.

Ochako snorted as she looked away from the table.

Izuku only nodded to her in reply as a bartender came their way.

“What can I get you both?”

Izuku looked at Ochako as she held up two fingers. “Can we get two shots of tequila please? Your best. With lime and salt as well.”

The guy nodded, giving them both a slow grin as

he turned away to pour them their shots. Izuku gave Ochako a look.

“Tequila? Really?”

Ochako shrugged as she hip checked her best friend. “You look like you need it.”

Izuku couldn’t help but to look over his shoulder again, trying to ignore the heavy feeling in his

Chest as he watched Camie laugh at something Katsuki said, and lay her head lightly on his shoulder.

He swallowed thickly as the shots were placed in front of them.

“Did you, or well, do you know if somethings going on with them?”

Ochako shook her head as licked the back

of her hand and poured salt on it. “No idea, but I can see if I can get it out of Mina later.”

Izuku did the same as Ochako, and then lifted up the shot and the lime slice. Ochako clinked their glasses together and gave him a grin.

“Here’s to hoping today goes well, and

you and him finally get your heads out of your asses.”

Izuku grumbled before licking the salt off his hand, knocking the shot back, and then stuffing the lime in his mouth. His eyes watered as he met the purple gaze of the bartender who was giving him a grin.

Izuku coughed as

he nodded at the bartender. “Can I also get another beer please?”

“Sure thing, cutie. What’s the name on your tab?”

“Oh! It’s Midori-“

“You can put it on mine. I got his next drink.”

Izuku’s spine tingled as he turned to his right where Ochako used to be to find the

alpha that refused to leave his dreams and haunt his life at every corner.

“WAH-CHAN!”

Katsuki gave him a small grin as he leaned against the bar and gave the bartender a look. “I’ll also take a beer, and shot of whatever he just had.”

He placed his black credit card

against the top of the bar as the bartender gave him a look before doing as he said.

Katsuki turned to look at Izuku as his piercing red eyes looked him up and down.

“How have you been, Deku?”

Izuku swallowed, trying to stop the flow of saliva to his mouth as he couldn’t

look away from that piercing gaze. “Oh! Um, I’m good? You?”

Katsuki’s deep laugh filled the space between them as he turned to take that shot of tequila, no salt or lime in sight. He sighed out, placing the shot glass down with a clink as he grabbed both glasses of beer.

“You sure? You sound like your questioning yourself there.”

“Oh yeah! Um, I’m fine. It’s all going well. How bout-“

As he reached for the glass of beer that Katsuki got him another head of blonde hair appeared next to him.

“Hey Kats! Is this for me?” Camie reached for the

beer as Izuku’s hand jerked back. He instantly felt out of place as Katsuki’s gaze moved from him to Camie, and he raised an eyebrow as Camie took the beer from him.

She took a small sip before her face scrunched up in disgust. “Oh gross. Kats, fam, you know I hate beer.”

“Yeah. I do. And it’s beer because it wasn’t for you, idiot.”

Katsuki said it in a way Izuku knew was due to a certain fondness and he felt like he should walk away before Camie’s eyes moved over to his form.

“Oh shit! Izuku- babe! Hi! Long time no see!”

Izuku nodded at

her as he refused to look at Katsuki. “Hi-hi Camie. Nice to see you again. It’s been awhile.”

“It Totes has! Oh shit! I’m sorry! Was this beer for you?” She glanced between Katsuki and Izuku. “I legit didn’t know. I’m sorry, love. Here let me buy you a shot to make up for it!”

Izuku waved his hands in front of himself as he shook his head no. “Oh! No no! It’s fine really! I can just drink out of that one, it’s no big deal.”

“Unless you want massive amounts of lip stick and gloss around your mouth, I’d get a new glass, Deku.” Katsuki’s comment

Made him look at the glass, and sure enough the rim had a large print of red lipstick across it.

“Oh- yeah. I guess you’re right.”

“Lipstick ain’t that bad fam.” Camie hit Katsuki’s shoulder as he looked back down at her. “Besides, you said you liked the strawberry flavor!”

Izuku’s chest tightened as he stammered out, “I’m - I’m gonna head to the bathroom. Sorry about the drink Kacchan.. um. Thank you again. I’ll- I’ll be back.”

He turned away then, and practically ran towards the bathroom.

He could feel those red eyes on him the entire way.

Izuku sat himself down in a bathroom stall and tried to control his heart that was pounding way too fast.

“What the fuck. What the fuck is wrong with me?”

He placed his head down in his hands and rocked a bit back and forth as he tried to calm down.

“You shouldn’t be

Feeling like this Izuku! He’s your fuckinf ex! Get over it like a normal person! Come the fuck on!”

He kept mumbling to himself, and eventually he groaned as he sat up and leaned back against the toilet seat.

He stared up at the ceiling as he grumbled more. “I just don’t

get it. Why won’t my feelings for that asshole just go away? God. I’m fucking stupid. So weak to him.”

He signed, getting up as he heard someone come into the restroom. He went about his business, flushing the toilet as he walked out of the stall to come face to face with

Kirishima.

“Oh hey man! You having fun?”

Izuku nodded, giving the red head a small smile as he went over to wash his hands.

“Yes! Thank you again for inviting me.”

“Of course Midobro! You are one of our best pals. Couldn’t picture this day without you all!”

Izuku smiled

And before turning to leave the bathroom he stopped and looked back at Kirishima.

“Hey, Kirishima…”

“Hmmm? What’s up?” The red head gave him a grin as he was washing his hands now.

“Katsuki and Camie.. is there something going on between the two of them?”

Kirishima looked up, their eyes meeting in the mirror as he gave him a sort of pity smile.

“Not as much as Camie’s making it out to be. Why?”

Izuku nodded, and they both left the restroom as they walked back towards the main bar area.

“No reason, really. I just…”

Izuku paused, and Kiri directed him towards the bar instead of back towards the tables.

“It’s weird isn’t it?” Kirishima finished for him, and gave him a pat on the back. “I get it dude. It’d be weird for me too if I was faced with my ex like that.”

Izuku nodded, and sighed.

“I just don’t get why I can’t get over it.”

Kirishima hummed, and he smiled at the bartender as he placed the order for their drinks. “You haven’t really had the chance to move on. What with school, and graduating, and starting real world jobs. It’s hard.”

Kirishima looked

Over his shoulder and then back down at Izuku again. “But I will say this. They may have done some things together, and Camie definitely wants more, but I don’t think Bakubro wants that for himself. He’s just being a gentleman towards her, yah know?”

Izuku groaned, but nodded

as a heavy frown formed on his face. “Yeah.. I guess it’s just weird having a friend want to date your ex, who’s also your friend, and they both as in the same friend group- sorta.”

Kirishima handed him a beer, and turned them back towards the large group of tables where all

Their friends sat. “I get that. If you want me too, I can tell Camie to back off. She’s newer to this friend group, so she may very well not know that you two were once a thing.”

Izuku looked up, and his eyes met red ones who gave him a once over before looking down at the

blonde woman besides him. She grinned up at him, and the two seemed to then be in their own world as they talked to each other.

“That’s… that’s okay. Thank you though Kiri. You’re a great friend to suggest that. But that’s asking a lot.” Izuku shrugged as he sat at his table,

This time at the other end near Ochako and Tsuyu. “It’s something I have to eventually get over anyway.”

Kirishima gave him a look, but he nodded anyway. “Okay man. I’ll talk to you in a bit.”

Kirishima then left, and went back towards the other table where Mina cheered as

he handed her a pink bubbly drink that Izuku didn’t realize he had ordered for her.

“You okay Izuku?”

He looked back at his friends, Ochako and Tsuyu, and Tenya and Shouto, all giving him a worried look.

“I’ll be fine guys.” He gave them all a bright smile in return.
