Here's @AP's report on @DemekeHasen's speech to the #UNGA last night >> apnews.com/article/united…

But I find it rather confusing there are TPLF diplomatic letters in relation to a matter of life and death for 1000s of people in Ethiopia, which have not been made public.

This report covers several of the speeches made yesterday including that by Ethiopia Deputy PM and Foreign Minister @DemekeHasen. 12newsnow.com/article/news/n…

"Ethiopia Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen, who rejected humanitarian concerns over Tigray as part of a “twisted propaganda campaign" in the embattled corner of northern Ethiopia." >> 12newsnow.com/article/news/n…

"Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister, Demeke Mekonnen, says the political and security landscape in Africa is on a path of adversity following a couple of coups and other security activities." voazimbabwe.com/a/ethiopia-mek…

The report published in @VOA Zimbabwe leads off with a strong pan African passage from @DemekeHasen's speech. "..this will be yet another round to destabilize Africa and disenfranchise Africans in the determination of our destiny."

Regarding #GERD Mekonnen is quoted saying: “The generational desire to use our natural resources will not be stopped by a colonial legacy and monopolistic cause. We hope our negotiating partners are prepared for a win-win outcome under the African Union led process.”

"In Ethiopia, groups that consider equality as subjugation are making their best effort to create and prolong anarchy...." - @DemekeHasen #UNGA

@DemekeHasen "... At the hands of these lords of instability, we went through unimaginably inhumane attacks against citizens, instigation of violence, and destruction of property, that culminated in an attack against the Ethiopian army.”

@DemekeHasen "We were also caught by surprise, and to-be-honest, unprepared for the twisted propaganda campaign. Little did we know the power of privatized politics and foreign policy that clouds the truth from policy decisions." - @DemekeHasen #UNGA

"Mekonnen said region is facing the: 'destructive path paved for it by this group. Supporting Ethiopia overcome this criminal group is helping sustain regional peace. Dialogue has always been our preferred course of action. ..Ethiopia is open to candid initiatives for peace.'"

The reporter here for @VOANews, Gibbs Dube has done an outstanding job of reporting clearly what the Ethiopian Govt. had to say. Bravo.

Finally there is a second @AP report here from @_sallyho "news reporter & investigative correspondent". apnews.com/article/immigr…

"It was a flat-out denial for Ethiopia Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen, who rejected humanitarian concerns over Tigray as part of a “twisted propaganda campaign” in the embattled corner of northern Ethiopia."

Here is the portion of the report on Ethiopia in full:
