A keepsake for us to mark when Native Tokens Minting was possible and just before the the arrival of Smart Contracts📜
Creating the 🔨Minting system was no easy feat and took many weeks to write and test on the Cardano's Testnet
We pioneered an⚖️auction biding system where a bid for an Id can be specified using the last 4 digits of (ada) lovelace
Bids made to the Minter would be updated live to our website's UI using data directly from the🪢blockchain (cicadanft.com/mint)

We chose the 🦋Magicicada because of the once in a 17-year event: The Brood X Emergence in May 2021
The ancient CicAda's have been around for 40-200 million years, and a fitting emblem🔱🍀 for the $Ada that runs the @Cardano network
