#TwitterWill and a call for action
Given what has been happening to pro-Ethiopian and pro-Eritrean voices on @Twitter, I have decided to write my #TwitterWill while I am still around.
1/ Compared with how things were on twitter a year back, we are at a much better place. We are scrutinizing every sentence of every article and tweet and every from of every video. The whole twitter is full of Ethiopian and Eritrean eyes and people are feeling the heat!
2/ The #NoMore movement that started out as a hash tag has evolved into a movement, nay an African REVOLUTION! It has become too real for the powers to be! The oppressed are waking up and the oppressors are panicking and scheming.
I am afraid @Twitter is coming for many of us. They might even make Twitter unavailable in the HOA. It is time to take this peaceful movement to the real world!
3/ Ethiopians and friends of Ethiopia, it is time to do #Ethiopia a favor! During this holiday season please reach out to 4 non-HOA people you know and introduce our cause. Since the MSM & SM platforms are muzzling our voices, we need to go out and get the information to people!
Reach out to your neighbors. If you feel embarrassed, think of the hundreds of TPLF supporters ground hugging in support of their cause.
Reach out to your coworkers. If you feel this is unprofessional, think of Tedros Adhanom. The guy is mobilizing all the power and connection of a UN organization all over the world in order to support TPLF.
Stop people on the street and share fliers and links to websites. If you feel this is too much, think of your children growing up without identity.
Donate to funds supporting IDPs and other #Ethiopian causes. If you feel like it is too much, think of the people who left the comfort of their home and are dying in the battlefield!
If you are in #Ethiopia, it is time to be vigilant! It is time to be kind! It is time to share! It is time to stand tall!
If you have friends and colleagues abroad, reach out to them, call them, email them, have a Zoom meeting with them. Let them know the truth!
4/ The intention of Ethiopia’s foes is crystal clear! The plan is to make Ethiopians, citizens of a country ‘formerly known as Ethiopia.’ Their plan is to make this holiday season the last one we will be celebrating with a country to call home.
The time to say #NoMore & #DoMore is now! Now is all the time we have!
