I went to #bitcoin because I wished to live deliberately. Post in English/Norwegian.

Microprocessors diminish returns to violence —> internet breaks information monopoly —> #Bitcoin liberates wealth from territory.

A thread on what's happening to you & your nation, and how to cope & thrive.

TL;DR If you love someone, let them go.

When considering #Bitcoin, our impulse after a century of mass democracy, is assuming it's a national, political issue, a decision to be made.

But votes don't change reality and nation states can no more stop Bitcoin than the inquisition could stop the printing press.

This because nation states rely on coercion.

No coincidence that the map of Europe had at least ten times more states and a fraction of today's taxes before advent of gunpowder.

For 5 centuries, gunpowder rewarded magnitude over efficiency.

US vs USSR was peak.

But you can't threaten computers with nukes, making magnitude costlier, with diminishing returns. Hence states resorted to #fiat - debt & inflation (time theft).

A logical but desperate attempt to pay for magnitude that didn't reward itself in loot or taxes.

#bitcoin ends that.

In other words, microprocessors rug pulled nation states half a century ago.

We are merely living through the inevitable collapse & reemergence - 1989 was not end of history, but first triumph of efficiency over magnitude.

It won't be the last.

Some like to call it Renaissance 2.0, but it won't just be pretty.

Many nation states have already long been responding the only way they know how - more violence, more propaganda, more theft.

Money printer go brrr, taxes moon.

Most people do not and won't understand what is happening to their jobs, welfare and identity - they blame immigrants, white straight males, SJWs, the rich, and soon, #bitcoiners.

Many are becoming Luddites fighting the future, others become criminals, and some, terrorists.

But the power of #bitcoin cannot be undone.

Travel restrictions, firewalls, capital controls & even violent suppression or expropriation will only drive the most innovative & productive members of our species to more competitive environments.

It already is - e.g. #ElSalvador.

In hindsight, governments commandeering half or more of our economy in return for subpar protection & services will seem insane. It was only possible because human MVPs hardly had any choice.

Predatory government was the only option if you wanted to live in a first world country after centuries of global violence paying off handsomely.

Some dimwits even started saying that such must be the price of civilization itself 👇

No longer. Let's repeat.

Microprocessors make violence costly —> internet breaks information monopoly —> #Bitcoin liberates wealth from territory.

Realities of 21st century will drive people & wealth to where they are treated best, at speed of light.

Fighting this is exactly what fuels it.

This gives a huge advantage to the 'losers' of the past century, than for, say, northern European welfare states, which do not see any need for change.

Nations that do not cling to people or the past, may survive and thrive.

Those that accept reality will be rewarded by reality, because what belongs to you will come back to you.

I.e. if you love someone, let them go.

Good luck, and remember, there is no spoon! 👇
