There are *many* monsters in my story. But focusing on one, let's pick the protagonist, Yakobar Lukin. He's a 'Maleficari', a warlock who has fallen prey to an almost incestuous relationship with his Daimon, Yachalis, who grants his host magical powers.

Relationship status: It's complicated.

As mentioned, Yachalis & Yakobar are love interests in a way, with two major caveats:

1. They share a body.
2. Yachalis is a creature without any human sense, so he's abusive and territorial about his host & doesn't feel love.

Yachalis has no concept for love but Yakobar has fallen in love with another Maleficari -a witch named Karolina. He's reluctant to allow himself to become attached to people as Yachalis will take advantage of that to manipulate him. Still, he proposed to her & she said yes.

My favorite monster design I ever came up with is Yachalis, although I also adore Ezekiel & am finally happy with Atropos' as well.

They're all from the same canon btw, so technically they could all meet one day. But they're living in different parts of the world. #ttrpg

My favorite monster Designs are the Angel of Death and honestly *everything else* from Hellboy II - the Golden Army. It's insane how gifted @RealGDT and his team are. This movie is still my favorite movie of all time and the art direction is a *huge* influence on my work.

I write #MonsterRomance because it gives me the liberty to explore the human condition within a layer of the fantastic. Allegories and metaphors for real world challenges have been used by artists and writers since the dawn of time - for good reason.

Yachalis isn't one for human food, but Yakobar is a real sweet tooth. Chocolate is quite a luxury in their world, tho.

Yakobar has an eating disorder due to trauma. But sweets are unaffected by this and are part of his coping mechanism to get his appetite going.

Yakobar would get Carolina 'flowers' from the woods behind his house. Henbane, nightshade, mistletoe and foxglove - a nice colorful, hand-picked bouquet. So she can practice her witchcraft with them.

Yachalis would get Yakobar sleep paralysis. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Karolina and Yakobar are very reserved when it comes to pubic display of affection like kissing which is a result of both their nature and the need to conform with moral standards of their culture.

Yachalis 'kissing' is only suitable for the AD account. 👀💦

Yakobar & Karolina are practicing bdsm - two tops, many bottoms. They trust each other to have sexual interactions with others outside of the group, too.

Yachalis & Yakobar however have a very intimate, sexual relationship beyond these boundaries.

Yakobar's ideal Valentine's day is a hack through the fields and forests with Karolina & the hounds, followed by a shopping tour where he buys her a nice gift, dinner in a good restaurant after which they return home to investigate the cursed hell gate behind the house.
