1. The week started with AHS reporting 26 new deaths from COVID-19, a day after Kenney suddenly said he’d be removing health restrictions.
Kenney claimed 90% vaccination rates and plunging hospitalization rates….but there were some obvious challenges to his “facts”…

2. New data from that weekend showed Alberta remains the LEAST vaccinated province in Canada with ~85% of people 18+ vaccinated!
3. Data also showed ONLY 74.25% of Albertans are fully vaccinated (only 79.4% with one dose)
This is WELL short of Kenny’s 90% claim

4. During Tuesday’s press conference to remove restrictions, Kenney faced NATIONAL backlash after comparing the stigma of unvaccinated adults to the stigma faced by HIV/AIDS patients in the 1980s: a group he targeted and attacked before getting into politics

5. #YEG’s business community were “confused” and “gutted” by the end of Alberta’s vaccine passport program
6. #YYY Chamber of Commerce issued a statement saying it was “too fast” and had "unintended consequences”

7. The head of the Edmonton Public Schools board also said Kenney’s decision to remove masking requirements in Alberta schools was “done without ANY consultation” which left some parents with little to no option to switch their kids to online learning.

11. U of L staff go on strike after being unable to resolve issues on working conditions, plus equitable pay & benefits partially caused by UCP cuts!
12. Mount Royal University may see strike action soon;the blame goes squarely to Kenney’s cuts!

13. Grant MacEwan’s University Students Association release a statement saying they are "shocked and concerned" over Kenney’s pressure to force in-person classes under "unsafe conditions."
They say there was ZERO consultation by Kenney or @demetriosnAB

AUPE points to Kenney’s inaction in Coutts to show it will only be used on those with who the UCP does not agree.

15. The Coutts-USA blockade still remains in effect, despite some critics saying Kenney ONLY removed restrictions to meet their demands.
The blockade costs Albertans $44M/ day in economic activity.
As of today, it had cost Alberta ~$660,000,000 in damages.
