Yerasyl #Kalykul, 25, was shot in the stomach on 5 January during protests in Shymkent and died from a gunshot wound.

His parents did not know where their son had gone, and when he did not make contact they started looking for him.
On January 6, Yerasil's parents found him in the hospital with a serious gunshot wound, a day when many people were admitted to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

The circumstances of his death, who shot him, where and when are unknown.
Yerasyl grew up in a large family, was one of six children, a car mechanic by profession, and most recently worked as a taxi driver and was preparing for a wedding.
