A story we have heard repeatedly in different variations: gunshot wound, abduction by special forces from the hospital, torture in the pre-trial detention facility SI-18, fabricated criminal case.

All this points to the fact that it was an order to fabricate the case about "terrorists" given by high-ranking officials. Both the people who ordered it, including Nazarbayev and Tokayev, and the executors of the criminal orders themselves should be held responsible.

The 38-year-old doctor by training, Kosay #MAKHANBAYEV, like tens of thousands of citizens throughout the country, went on a peaceful protest in early January 2022. On 4 January, Kosay went on a peaceful protest in #Almaty, to support peaceful protesters from Zhanaozen.

A prisoner transport vehicle was parked at the rear entrance of the hospital and they threw Kosay and about 15 other wounded people into it, although the truck was designed for about 5-6 people.
