I'll find keywords by accident because I'm often exploring new opportunities. I've always loved writing my thoughts in a notebook, so stationery seems like a worthwhile niche to pursue one day. #seo #blog

One keyword idea I wrote was "writing equipment"
here is what I found

Doing this alone has opened the door to several micro-niches. "Adaptive writing equipment" is a niche that can stand on its own two feet. The products don't look like they're worth much, but it's interesting enough.

Let's look at expired domains.

I entered the word "adaptive" to see what comes up. Clearly, this niche has been scoped out and people see some value in it. If you look near the bottom, there is a great .com domain name that isn't taken, adaptivechild.
Let's pop it into ahrefs to see if it's any good.

It has 40 referring domains and a DR of 4.7
Let's see what those backlinks look like. Looking at referring domains, there are lots of parenting and autism websites. Looking at anchors, there are plenty of product categories. This site used to be an e-comm. I'll buy it for $10

I'll pick one of the products discovered from the anchor text, "pressure vest". Since this niche is clearly about autism, let's see what comes up for "pressure vest autism". One of the first results is an amazon product page. Let's assume we want to rank for this keyword.

I can just go to Google to find some topics about pressure vests. Make a note of all the topics that are relevant and worth covering. These can be made into articles that will improve the site's overall relevance for this keyword.

From the list of 5-10 articles, I'd make an outline for each and outsource the writing. I have an outline for this on my site (content map blueprint). Once the writing is delivered, I'd publish it and optimize it. Next, I'd pick another topic from the list and do the same.

As you can see, I didn't even pursue writing equipment, but my initial research led me down a rabbit hole of other keywords. I found a great niche with lots of potential and was lucky enough to find a great expired domain for cheap.
