Luo Binghe never had a place to belong, so one day, he takes a stupid risk. He rents a run-down flat with three bedrooms and puts up an ad that he's searching for two roommates.

First, Hua Cheng shows up who's 17 and just ran away from home. He can't afford anything else but he'd do anything to get away from his shitty family. A few days later, Wei Wuxian shows up at their doorstep who has been kicked out by his foster parents and needs a place to stay.

Luo Binghe's plan to find himself a family actually worked. Well, it doesn't work perfectly, exactly. After all, they're all teenage boys and they all have a shit ton of issues, but it's something like friendship, something like family, if you squint at it sideways.

Luo Binghe is overbearing with his care taking, he's controlling and has bad ocd, but he also cooks all their meals, asks after their days and gives good hugs.

Hua Cheng is broody, obsessive and probably involved in criminal activities.

But he also listens to them talk and gets wwx out of tight spots or brawls all the time. He also has the most money, although no one knows where from.

And Wei Wuxian is the poster boy of bad decision making, they have to come get him all the time when he's drunk too much.

Also, he has adhd like no one else.
But he's also their didi now and they suppose he's also kinda funny.

I just think these three disasters could somehow push each other up and build a semi functional chaotic relationship between them.

(Of course, a bit away, there's a fancy apartment that's shared between 3 rich boys who want to find some independence, Shen Yuan, Xie Lian and Lan Wangji.)

I think maybe wwx would meet lwj first and come home complaining about the arrogant rich kid he met.

Hc and lbh pat him on the back and tell him to collect his fucking panties from the bathroom floor.

Ofc, a bit later, wwx and hc are walking through the city when wwx suddenly slaps hc's arm frantically with an excited expression and goes: Look! Thats the arrogant rich kid over there!

Thing is, lwj is accompanied by his roommate xl, and hc goes very still when he sees him.

Wwx notices and asks what that's all about. Hc carefully does not mention that this is the boy he's been simping over since he was eight.

Wwx being wwx, he skips over and manages to convince the two to come over for dinner tomorrow.

Of course, lbh cooks and xl and lwj decide to drag their hermit roommate sy with them so he sees the outside for once and actually eats something that's not instant noodles and yoghurt.

It's a bit awkward at first, but wwx breaks the ice by pulling lwj to the table,-

And talking at him with the speed of a freight train. Xl and sy are a bit taken aback by lwj just letting him because normally, he's very particular about his personal space. But they shrug and turn to their other two hosts.

Hualian is hualian. Xl brings some side dish he cooked himself and hc is the only one who eats (and compliments him on) it. They do their usual awkward flirting, just met but basically already married thing.

And lbh and sy are kind of left alone a bit.

Obviously, lbh is immediately enamored by sy's geeky gegemommywife-beam and sy is helplessly charmed by lbh's housewife halo.

At one point, wwx drags lwj to his room to "show him something" and xl asks hc if he wants to see his sword collection (unironically)-

And a heart-eyed hc follows him out of the apartment.

Sy and lbh are left sitting there, eating the abandoned food and talking about shitty webnovels and how big a harem could realistically even be.

There will be many, many more visits in the future. And shared rooms. And headphones to drown out the sound of fucking coming through the thin walls.
