- PM's definition according to @lennysan from his experience with @Airbnb is One who makes everything better & makes everyone's job easier.
- Core skill for a PM:
Communication is Key tool for a product manager. Be really good in atleast any one form be it writing, emails, presenting or documentation.
• Build stuff, in public, put yourself out there.
• keep learning to prove that you can be a good PM.
• Get an Early experience in any companies don't set targets like I need to do it here only, eventually you'll get there.
- creating goods requires paying close attention to users/customers (or readers in this case) and detecting their needs - user surveys are particularly valuable in this regard. I heard Lenny speak about his PM journey, newsletter, and how he got to build, expand, and monetize it.
- It's critical to employ resilient individuals in product management.
If you're going to create a successful product, you need work with a group of resilient & motivated coworkers. Being a great PM requires dedication, drive & intelligence.
