/12 Update 🧵 about the suspected drone launch site in Mayak, Crimea. Two weeks ago i published an article about Mayak radar station in which research & sat. images showed Mayak radar station in Crimea was the most likely source of drone attacks on Odessa

/12 in this 🧵 further evidence was found to support the claim of this being the launch point of the Shahed-136 drones, further information (#OSINT & #HUMINT) revealed that Iranian instructors/operators are also present at Dzankoj airport (read 🧵 ⬇️)

/12 We were able to obtain new high res. 🛰 imagery(30 cm) from the Mayak site, which indefinitly proves the presence of the launchers there. It also shows the kind of setup they will probably use when they know they are out of reach of UA forces and under the umbrella of 🇷🇺 AD

/12 to give you an idea,of what happens when we get new imagery, ⬇️ the image you would typicaly receive from the providers, as you can see the lighter bits seem "over exposed",using software you can correct this making it possible to get even more detail(see tiles on the domes)

/12 Using this technique, we were able to positivly identify all of the assets on this base. As you can see in the image ⬇️ 3 different mobile radars are on-site, designed to detect low&slow flying objects (drones) which atm are the greatest threat for units in Crimea, together

/12 with the NEBO-M radar complex(dome) they should be able to detect any air attack vehicles up to 300 km.More info on these radar systems can be found in the links below⬇️

/12 Back to the launchers 😉 in the 🧵 published on 12 oct. We could see the 2 trailer like objects resembling the Shahed-136 launch vehicles (without the cab attached) which match the known size, with enhanced images,we were able to establish that the left trailer was sloped.

/12 we were also able to distinguish the drone command vehicle which was placed just outside of the base perimiter & the camouflaged command & control center located next to it. A tent which could be the living quaters for the operators can also clearly been seen in this image.

/12 we were able using known imagery of the drone launchers & command vehicle to establish their dimensions and they line up with the objects found in the imagery we aquired. Also we received #HUMINT confirming drone launches in this area in the period from 1st of oct.

#OSINT

/12 the conclusion can be that operating these drones from here is a safe bet for 🇷🇺.It's out of range of anything 🇺🇦 has atm, and is well protected against drone and other arial attacks, due to the contingent of AD located nearby. Also the remote loc. makes SOF action unlikely

/12 This is one of the reasons 🇺🇦 should get the capabillity to strike at these places, giving them ATACMS with a 300 km. range would enable them to hit these locations and protect their civillian pop. against these strikes that are terrorizing them.

/12 🛰 images are expensive (up to $30/km2). If you would like to see more investigations like these, and want to support our cause please consider donating to one of us, thanks 🙏
