Shimmer network advantages:
1. Native Tokens
Custom tokens are first class citizens on the Shimmer network and can be minted and transferred feelessly, even by L2 smart contracts anchored to it

2.Native NFTs

Shimmer rewrites the playbook for #NFTs by removing fees for their

creation and trading. All NFTs on Shimmer act as standalone wallets and can hold other NFTs and tokens and additionally can store immutable on-chain data.

3. Output Types

The extended UTXO model enables unique output types with custom transaction logic and trustless atomic ops.

IOTA Smart Contracts

The developer tools give builders the flexibility to customize their own smart contract chains, choosing between EVM or WASM, governance functions and tokenomics.

@shimmernet has a scalable ecosytem using DAG
