Which country has the largest number of shipments as part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative? Unsurprisingly it’s Türkiye. Because Türkiye processes a lot of the grains before they are exported they are the destination for 163 ships and have a higher volume of smaller loads.
Two ships left Odesa on 16Jan. There are five loaded ships at anchor near Odesa and six ships are inspected and waiting to transit the humanitarian corridor towards Odesa.
A series of smaller days in a row, but at least we have a ship full of corn headed to China. #MyPrecious
The Run Down
The MKK-1, which departed Ukraine on 08Jan carrying peas, drifted aground in the Bosphorus this morning and traffic was suspended while the ship was rescued.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone call with Vladimir Putin today in which they discussed a prisoner exchange, long term peace & a Turkish plan to mill Russian grain before sending it to African countries in need. (Putin also complained.)
