I've been conducting a lot of interviews lately and want to share some feedback/advice for anyone going into an interview soon. #gamedev
1. Check your ego at the door. Its better to be humble & introspective about your past work than to flaunt what things you've accomplished.
2. Don't complain about past work experiences. Instead discuss what you learned & how you will apply those lessons to your future workplace.
3. Be prepared to ask questions. Ask about daily culture, or what are our favorite parts of the job, or what living in the area is like, etc
4. Be ready & excited to discuss things you are passionate about outside of your job. Biking? Pets? Brewing beer? Crochet? ...
...this gives us an opportunity to see you geek out, shows us you're well rounded, and gives you a chance to teach us something.
These are just my personal thoughts. Hope this helps someone someday :) As I think of more I'll be sure to add them.
