I always tell entrepreneurs, if you want to learn and master a topic, read the classics, find and read the classics. and here's the question I get ALL THE TIME.

"But why Ronald? Why waste time with a book that's old and dated?"

The thing is you don't understand. The classics...
contain the fundamentals. Insights created by people who had to figure out everything, fundamentals on which everything else you read about today is built on.

Tech changes, ideas change, but the fundamentals, the basics always remain the same.

There's a reason why when you...
want to learn a language, you start from learning the alphabets. Once you get the alphabets, you start stringing words together, and once you can understand the words, you move on to putting the words together as sentences.

The fundamentals are always important.

Do you do...
business? Are you in sales? Want to learn marketing? Copywriting? Advertising?

Read the classics. My bookshelves are filled with these books. Once you understand the classic,you'll understand the origins of what you now see and you'll better understand why they work how they do.

Some of these books are over 50 years old,but don't knock any of them,don't turn your nose up at them either.

When you open a new Google Ad account:

1. Make sure you input a Dollar Card from a bank (not Barter, and not Naira)

2. Set up a generic ad FIRST. Make sure it's tamer than sheep.

3. Do not be silly and use a landing page that says, "How to Make a Gazzilion Naira in 2 Seconds".
4. Make sure your landing pages has links to an "About Us", "Terms and Conditions" and "Disclaimer" pages.

These should not be dummy pages. They should ACTUALLY have the content as labelled.

5. Set up a generic ad FIRST. Make sure it's tamer than sheep.

6. If your account is banned anyway, appeal. And send supporting documents - screenshots of your address, a utility bill, business registration documents, etc.

You want to make the best case you can. You don;t have a registered business? Why? LOL!

So a few minutes ago, @theskinpriest responded to my tweet saying a 33-year-old dating an 18-year-old was predatory.

I responded off the cuff saying I don't believe it is. But it made me think.

I know a lot of this may be genuine but we have to admit, despite an 18-year-old...
being an adult, do they really have the emotional maturity to navigate sexual relationships with someone who is quite older & who obviously has garnered a lot of experience along the way by virtue of age?

I remember a friend of mine (lived abroad at the time, Dad was a diplomat)
who told me she ran away from home to be with her then 30-year old boyfriend, who married her and then subsequently proceeded to batter her emotionally and physically over the next 15 years until she managed to divorce him.

I want to say something to Ndiigbo, my brothers, and sisters.

You may not have noticed (o maybe you have, you're not blind and you have sense) but but a section of our people have cultivated a reputation for being frankly a pain in the ass, and it's not a good look.

It's not.
No one wants to deal with perpetually angry people, not for business, not for leisure, and especially not for political affiliation.

Its not just become silly, it's become detrimental to our collective goal.

We are known for being perceptive, for good neighbourliness and for...
being proactive, but I must say that what's happened here the last few months is not it at all - it's always fights with tribes we should be working and forging an alliance with or worse, in-fighting amongst ourselves.

Paul Adefarasin has said "get a Plan B". Whether you're as rich as he is, is immaterial.

Cotonou is a Plan B if thats what you can afford.

A Plan B is an emergency plan you activate in case something goes wrong.

Dont listen to people who live safely abroad telling you nonsense
There is a place for hope + faith and there is a case for facing reality and dealing with issues as they present.

That Paul Adefarasin is a PAstor who should preach hope doesnt mean he cannot tell you to prepare for stark realities.

Anyone saying otherwise is just plain stupid.

Why residence visas?

For starters, they are cheaper, FAR CHEAPER than passports, and offer almost all the benefits, not not, but a large swathe of them.
