असक्त्या लोकरक्षायै गुनेष्वारोप्य कर्तुतां ।
सर्वेश्वरे वा न्यस्योक्ता तृतीय कर्मकार्यता ।।

asaktyā lokarakṣāyai guneṣvāropya kartutāṃ ।
sarveśvare vā nyasyoktā tṛtīya karmakāryatā ।।

असक्त्या - without desires on any other phala, except bhagavad-preeti, लोकरक्षायै - on the need for protecting the world, कर्तृतां - His all-creating powers, गुणेषु - in tri-guna of satya, rajas & tamas, आरोप्य​ - be directed, सर्वेश्वरे वा - Unto sarva-vastu-niyanta Narayana,

न्यस्य​ - with the aforetold creating powers, कर्मकार्यता - the importance of observing karma-s, तृतीये प्रोक्ता - is explained in 3rd adhyaya

3rd adhyaya emphasizes the fact that we are ordained to do all our duties with the understanding that they are done by our tri-guna-s. The outcomes of all karma is to be placed at His Lotus Feet.

He Himself is practicing Karma Yoga when there is no need for it. That He is doing it, is only to demonstrate the fact that He is doing it for protection of world (loka-rakshya) & for the benefit of people who don't have the ability to practice the incredibly difficult Jnana-Yoga
