11 products That Will Make You Hundreds of Thousands, Maybe Millions In 2019.
If you're Interested In Ecommerce or "mini importation" as we call it here, you should pay attention.
Sorry I am starting 9 minutes late. I literally just got home from work.
Alright, let's do this:
So here's how it's going to go.
1. I'll give some tips & insights about choosing products that will be profitable.
2. I will then list the products.
3. Next I will explain how to sell them
I will take questions for say another 5 minutes. We should spend maybe 1hr/1hr:30 mins.
So first, tips on choosing profitable products to import.
You have to understand that e-commerce is a business of margins. You're playing a game of arbitrage. You buy low and you sell higher than you bought. Now here's where people make a BIG mistake.
It's not simply about...
merely buying low and selling high. If only it were that easy, right? It's about buying low, and selling HIGH ENOUGH that you make a profit AFTER DEDUCTING YOUR COSTS.
And there are a lot of costs when it comes to e-commerce. Here they are.
i. Buying the goods from the factory
ii. Shipping to Nigeria and clearing (you pay the shippers for both, together)
iii. Advertising (Facebook, Google, Instagram, influencers (not these fake INFLUENZAS who only know how to trend hashtags)
iv. Shipping to the buyer
v. Returns
All of the above are costs so you MUST make sure that whatever product you choose to bring in MUST be able to turn a profit after costs. Feel me?
You need to do the math FIRST. That's what I've done doing most of today with the products I'll share with y'all shortly.
If you...
don't, you will lose money. End of story.
Here's an example:
So let's say, you find a product and it costs $10 a unit, lets say it's a wrists watch (this is just an example). That's =N=3700. You ship and clear it for say =N=1000. Then you spend =N=1000 on an advert to sell it.
And you spend =N=1500 to ship it to the buyer.
Let's say you sold the watch for =N=7,500.
So your cost is: =N=7,200
And your profit is a tiny =N=300 per watch.
I dont know about you but my math says if you want to make =N=100,000 that month, you'll need to sell 300 watches.
If you want to make =N=1 million, you'll need to sell 3,330.
You bought low, and sold high but your math was short of the goal.
Here's a better way to approach it.
You need products that you can get at least a 200% mark up on.
Here's what that means.
If I buy it for $5,...
I should be able to sell it for $20 at the very least. The more the merrier.
You need products that can command high prices (4x, 6x, 10x, even 50x the buy price) and don't add to your cost. And an awful lot of things can add to your cost in this e-commerce thing of ours. Like...
i. Weight. Avoid overly heavy products. Each extra KG one unit of your products weigh adds to your shipping cost from the manufacturer and to the buyer. Weight is bad in e-commerce. Avoid it.
ii Fragile. Anything that is too fragile avoid. To save cost, you'll probably be...
not paying for insurance, so don;t complicate matters. For examples, I won;t be selling drinking glasses anytime soon, but I could sell sunglasses. If you can choose btwn your product being in a plastic or glass bottle, always go with the plastic option.
There are others but...
this will suffice.
Don't forget, when purchasing your products, always use the payment options on the platforms. Don't send money direct via PayPal or Western Union. This is so if tyhere's a dispute and you got sent b=defective products, you can report and get your money back.
Alright.
Let's get into the products now.
These are evergreen products that will sell all day, everyday, morning till night, Monday to Sunday.
10. The last 2 are actually ingestibles (they need to be swallowed).
I am reluctant to share them as I dont want anyone making a mistake and importing something that isn't genuine.
I haven't used them myself so can;t vouch, so let's leave those ones, shall we?
Let move on.
So how to sell these products?
Use social media - Facebook, Google, Instagram, influencers, etc.
On Facebook and Google, PLEASE do not make claims. if you do, you will be banned. Insead of saying, "Erase Your Wrinkle in 7 Days!", no, no, no. Instead say:
"How to remove wrinkles from your face"
Don't worry, if anyone has wrinkles, they'll still click through and read it.
Or
Instead of saying: "Stop Your Hair From Falling Out In 10 Days With This Magic Cream!" say: "This is why your hair is falling out (AND how to stop it)"
To sell successfully online, you need to master copywriting. It's pretty easy to get a hang of it. Read this article:
1. Make sure you input a Dollar Card from a bank (not Barter, and not Naira)
2. Set up a generic ad FIRST. Make sure it's tamer than sheep.
3. Do not be silly and use a landing page that says, "How to Make a Gazzilion Naira in 2 Seconds".
4. Make sure your landing pages has links to an "About Us", "Terms and Conditions" and "Disclaimer" pages.
These should not be dummy pages. They should ACTUALLY have the content as labelled.
5. Set up a generic ad FIRST. Make sure it's tamer than sheep.
Yeah it bears repeating
6. If your account is banned anyway, appeal. And send supporting documents - screenshots of your address, a utility bill, business registration documents, etc.
You want to make the best case you can. You don;t have a registered business? Why? LOL!
So a few minutes ago, @theskinpriest responded to my tweet saying a 33-year-old dating an 18-year-old was predatory.
I responded off the cuff saying I don't believe it is. But it made me think.
I know a lot of this may be genuine but we have to admit, despite an 18-year-old...
being an adult, do they really have the emotional maturity to navigate sexual relationships with someone who is quite older & who obviously has garnered a lot of experience along the way by virtue of age?
I remember a friend of mine (lived abroad at the time, Dad was a diplomat)
who told me she ran away from home to be with her then 30-year old boyfriend, who married her and then subsequently proceeded to batter her emotionally and physically over the next 15 years until she managed to divorce him.
We cannot deny the dynamics for this age range are...
I want to say something to Ndiigbo, my brothers, and sisters.
You may not have noticed (o maybe you have, you're not blind and you have sense) but but a section of our people have cultivated a reputation for being frankly a pain in the ass, and it's not a good look.
It's not.
No one wants to deal with perpetually angry people, not for business, not for leisure, and especially not for political affiliation.
Its not just become silly, it's become detrimental to our collective goal.
We are known for being perceptive, for good neighbourliness and for...
being proactive, but I must say that what's happened here the last few months is not it at all - it's always fights with tribes we should be working and forging an alliance with or worse, in-fighting amongst ourselves.
I used to think it was mainly orchestrated by IPOBians but..
There is a place for hope + faith and there is a case for facing reality and dealing with issues as they present.
That Paul Adefarasin is a PAstor who should preach hope doesnt mean he cannot tell you to prepare for stark realities.
Anyone saying otherwise is just plain stupid.
Some jews in 1944 Europe saw the handwriting on the wall, changed their monies into Gold, and emigrated to the USA. Some dismissed the warnings and stayed back.
The very following year Hitler invaded and hauled millions off to the gas chamber.
So today, I am going to quickly talk about 4 or 5 countries where you can get residence visas.
Why residence visas?
For starters, they are cheaper, FAR CHEAPER than passports, and offer almost all the benefits, not not, but a large swathe of them.
Second, residencies can be...
a pathway to citizenship.
In one or two of the countries I will talk about tonight, if you renew your residencies long enough, and fulfill all requirements, according to their law, which differs from country to country, you become eligible to apply for full citizenship.
