Trump’s 2016 campaign and Trump as an individual Russian asset are the same fucking thing for all intents and purposes, so you’ve been in denial this whole time if you thought somehow Trump wasn’t connected to all of the nefarious communications between his underlings and Russia.

I see people saying “but we didn’t know the FBI was investigating Trump specifically, now we do” and I wonder how many of them might also need to be told explicitly that water is wet. 🧐

NYT isn’t bringing you “bombshells”, they’re refreshing old ledes they buried and neglected to factually synthesize in real time with actual intelligence experts a long time ago b/c they wanted privileged access to Individual 1. They intentionally left numerous dots unconnected.

They did so not because the information wasn’t readily available to them, but because informing the public about Trump’s corruption would’ve wounded his fragile ego and invited his rage and retaliation. They enabled the conspiracy by way of obfuscation and “fair and balanced”.

They’re hoping to be praised for telling the story unfashionably late rather than taking any meaningful responsibility for neglecting to tell the story accurately and elaborately *before* the Russian asset was ever sworn into the presidency. Do NOT fall for this shit, y’all.

Trump fired Comey *immediately* after he publicly testified that Trump’s campaign was under FBI investigation for possible collusion w/Russia. His blatant obstruction of justice made investigating whether he was a Russian asset mandatory and inevitable.
