To be fair, #NDTV probably wouldn't be the only one that confused 'Osama' with 'Obama'.
But that doesn't mean I'll not put this 'editorial gaffe' here for archival purposes!
120
Our editors have managed to defeat the Matrix by successfully introducing a 'glitch' that converts a drug addict into a drug addiction!
Here's proof!
121
Refer tweets 5 and 6 of this thread, and possibly another one or two apart from these.
Whenever we type the word 'TERRORIST', our computers automatically change it to a more 'humane' word.
In this case our computers chose to convert Terrorists into Citizens!
122
This one is offered without comment, our of sheer respect for their allegedly unbiased reporting!
123
Talking about inadvertent editorial gaffes .. THANK HEAVENS they only made him 'Sardad' Patel and not 'सरदर्द' Patel!
Because had they done it, one can only imagine the kind of reactions they might have received!
Shukr hai bach gaye!
Kasam Se!
124
Oh, btw, wrt the above tweet, I'll just copy and paste part of the text from tweet number 93 of this thread to save time!
"Sometimes I wonder would an allegedly renowned media house so proudly quote 'Foreign Media' in the main headline .. But then I tell myself, it is #NDTV!"
125
Further to tweets 5, 6 and 121 of this thread ..
This time a guy trained to kill Indian citizens gets branded a Worker!
Looks like the message that the 'T' word will NOT be used has really tickled the creativity bug in some good folks!
126
Btw, such a glamorous 'representative' photo of the alleged 'worker' made me do a google search.
Sure enough, the report on a terrorist's arrest carries a cropped / photoshopped photo of police officers!
127
Ah, Statistics!
We love them soooo much, 'coz they can always be suited to tell what we have on our alleged agenda!
Over here, #NDTV seems to be implying that govts in India are formed / felled based on vote percentages and NOT the absolute numbers of MPs!
128
Yo #NDTV so secular that a Pakistani Flag automatically changes to a flag RESEMBLING Pakistani flag!
This, when their OWN report says it is a Pakistani flag in the VERY FIRST SENTENCE!
129
^^
Heck, even the headline of the report says Pakistani Flag!
But, looks like the worker bee sitting on the twitter handle of our dear #NDTV didn't get the 'correct' message, Allegedly!
130
^^
Btw, ANI tweeted two pics with their report on the incident.
Guess which one did #NDTV choose to use for their own report!
(With due attribution to ANI, of course!)
131
VIRAL indeed!
Aud iss desh ke baaki maa baap toh apne bachchon par sirf chaabuk hee chalaate hain!
132
How in the world did the good folks at #NDTV manage to do this still baffles me!
My alleged conspiracy theory begins with the sentence, "One night an NDTV intern was feeling bored, so he went online and .."
🤣
133
God bless the person who allegedly created the word 'ALLEGED'!
Even @KanchanGupta ji agrees, allegedly!
134
BREAKING NEWS IS OUR DHARMA .. Fact checking comes secondary!
135
Murdered!
Somehow, I have my doubts the 'govt hand' actually used that word.
But then, he is and will always be anonymous, no?
136
Talk about reputations!
137
While we are on the subject of reputations, I guess this thread too has earned a bit, allegedly .. or would you say purportedly?
😂
138
To be fair, she wasn't the only one who celebrated the deaths of soldiers, in their blind hatred of a certain group of politicians.
But what are the odds that having served her two weeks of penance, she is back working for #NDTV?
139
^^
Just for the sake of archiving, here are the screenshots of what Nidhi Sethi, Deputy News Editor at #NDTV said in the aftermath of the #PulwamaAttack.
A truly sick mentality, this.
140
And then there was the time when the good folks at #NDTV turned Robert F. Kennedy into a Chinook helicopter!
Sheer magicians, I tell you!
142
But I have a confession to make .. I sometimes stay awake at night wondering if I am wasting my time chronicling the allegedly 'unique' brand of journalism of #NDTV, esp when NO ONE watches it in the first place!
143
Further to Tweet 26, I'll leave this thread for the time being with a screenshot of this tweet by @shivanginipatha!
Jai Hind!

Today is the 40th anniversary of the bombing of Air India 'Kanishka' by Canada based terrorists. Replugging some thoughts on the same.
Canada, this one will haunt you till time's end.
Letting out some thoughts and some facts when it came to Western nations not merely looking away at terrorism aimed at India in the 70s, 80s and the 90s, but in cases, actually encouraging it.
This state sponsored terror from West cost us dearly then, and costs us dearly even now
70s - 90s were not very popular years for Govt of India in Western capitals. At best, they looked away when it came to matters that were detrimental to Indian interests and at worst, they actively fomented trouble within Indian borders.
Primary reason was that the ..

Folks, sharing some thoughts on recent and current events in near and far neighbourhood.
A lot of thoughts entangled in a web .. let me see how it goes
This report from some days ago is a good start point:
US Centcom Chief very enthusiastically licking Pakistan's unwashed backside!
Whenever such a news comes by, the first thought that goes through one's head is, what are they planning!
In this case, it was quite obvious that Iran was the target, as events proved within days.
But I will come to that in a while.
:Thread:
Folks, sharing some thoughts on the recent statement by the CDS in Singapore regarding potential losses of IAF aircraft during Op Sindoor.
This will be a short thread.
Here goes ..
At the outset, I offer my heartiest congratulations to Paakis for their spectacular victory in Kargil where they brought down three IAF aircraft and for the even more FANTASTIC victory of 1971 wherein they shot down anywhere between 45 - 65 IAF aircraft!
There's a video as well!
In the same vein, I also offer my heartfelt commiserations to my fellow Indians who are beating their chests and doing R@ndi Rona about having lost Op Sindoor because IAF lost some aircraft!
:Thread:
This day in 1999, a young Captain by the name of Manoj Kumar Pandey was going gung ho, clearing Paakis in Khalubar.
Little would he have have known that he had just about 43 days more in this world, before he attained martyrdom, and with it, immortal fame ..
He led the most difficult tasks assigned to 1/11 Gorkha Rifles in the war, with full confidence in his fellow Gorkhas to deliver.
Here is a letter he wrote from the battlefield to a friend.
Download, Zoom & Read.
I INSIST.

Folks, sharing some thoughts on the ceasefire with Pakistan announced last night. Let's see how it goes ..
At the outset, I will say what we have done to Pakistan is simply unimaginable. To that I will also add, Picture Abhi Baaki Hai!
Let me try and explain how ..
Very aptly named Operation Sindoor, it avenged #PahalgamTerrorAttack with brute force.
However, let me go back in time and start from the situation post-Kargil
1999 : IC 814 Hijack. We released three terrorists.
2001 : Parliament Attack. We mobilized, but didn't attack.
2002 : Kaluchak Attack. They killed 2-month old babies at point blank range. We didn't retaliate. Op Parakram continued.
2005 : Delhi Bombings. 60+ dead. No retaliation.
2006 : Mumbai Train Bombings. 200+ dead. No retaliation.
So this wannabe Khalifa of the 21st Century makes clear his preference!
In light of this, sharing a short thread on Pakistan-Turkey relationship at the very basic, people to people, level!
But let me begin with an addendum to what I wrote about Shri @RTErdogan Ji in the tweet above. While he aspires to be a modern day Khalifa, what he actually is, is a Pimp for the daughters and mothers of Turkey due to his support of Pakistan.
Let me elaborate, starting by this 👇
@RTErdogan Yes, #PakistaniPerverts was not just trending on Turkish Social Media just three years ago, it was also a widespread sentiment in the real world in Turkey, thanks to their Pakistani 'brothers' doing what they do best - Going after the womenfolk in Turkey!
