Thread on #Kashmir .. I’ll be using this as a news aggregator & comments thread. If some mistakes are made will acknowledge but won’t delete.
1n. Earlier @NicolaCareem tweeted a video, suggesting that the protestors were peaceful & that violence was one sided from the police
2n nothing can be further from the truth. Thanks to some great analysis by @detresfa_ , @Natsecjeff & @KashmirSource (the same 2 guys some of you idiots want banned) we can see:
a) heavy stone pelting
b) protestors carrying sticks
This means the protests were NOT peaceful
3n this same video at the end shows a genuinely peaceful protest being allowed to pass off with full police protection. Note police are not intervening, even though these protestors earlier were walking down a street & could have been intercepted
4n also note we have THEOLOGICAL evidence in the BBC video of intended violence. The JeM & ISIS flags carried signal an intent to violence. Violence that both these groups unequivocally advocate. Add up 2-3-4 these were violent groups of people, who intended violence.
5n most importantly one pic is of a vicious ISIS terrorist Sayar Ahmed alias Abu Jaree killed earlier this year. What is important is both JeM AND ISIS at this protest showing that both groups are now coordinating. This cannot happen without @GovernmentOfPak coordination.
6n please note thanks to detective work by @detresfa_ (again some of you idiots are trying to get banned) we know the videos have indeed taken place in Indian Kashmir
7n clearly the security forces did what was needed. However remember by Thursday the 8th afternoon we already knew that Pakistani watsapp and telegram groups were urging Kashmiris to “go out in the streets and die” so that Pakistan would have a Casus Belli theprint.in/opinion/these-…
8n this was confirmed through independent analysis by @Natsecjeff. note the crowds are OVERWHELMINGLY Sunni males comprising 27.5% of the population and of these less that 2.75 are extreme and even fewer come out on the streets. The female protests have been few and far between
9n these miscreants aren’t a majority (if they were we would NEVER’ve been able to hold Kashmir) - but let’s also be clear that the “mainstream” crooks Omar & Mehbooba are NOT pro india, they are pro their own bank accounts. See @rahulpandita’s piece openthemagazine.com/special/will-t…
11n please note there is a CONCERTED disinformation campaign by useful idiots/5th columns (take your pick) in the Indian media, claiming newspapers aren’t coming out in Kashmir. Totally bogus: they have
12n Over the last two years I have compiled a list of allegedly Kashmiri twitter handles with clear links to pakistan and/or are inciting violence & spreading fake news. I already exposed @_Faysal in 2017 & have compiled an excel sheet & given the authorities. Rest is up to them
13n I’m sorry but what part of not pointing out 1) rods in protestors hands 2) images of an ISIS terrorist 3) chanting an Al Qaeda terrorist Zakir Musa’s name 4) Troops being passive was “No mischief, no agenda, no bias, no position, just journalism”?
17n hello @AlJazeera_World mind telling me where in Jammu & Kashmir “Qaid E Azam Bridge” is? Thanks
18n and here we have @AliaChughtai endorsing a “how to report on Kashmir” tutorial, by another ISI shill. Clearly this is the standard of “editorial discretion” & “professionalism” that @AJEnglish & @AJENews Follow. Good to know. Hope @HMOIndia & @PrakashJavdekar too take notice
19n and meanwhile Pakistani TV is being blatantly racist & sectarian asking “kashmiris”(?) to “kill any HINDU who settles”. While @MaryamNSharif languishes in jail, while these clowns are talking about “bigotry” & “jailing Kashmir’s” opposition
20n Meanwhile another white saviour, alleged “historian” at it ..again. Because you know history stopped in 1952. Do read Srinath Raghavan’s book War & Peace chapter “Kashmir 1951 and beyond” where he comprehensively busts this uncontextualised rubbish.
21n of course we all know why anyone like @BBCWorld or @AJEnglish who have a presence in Pakistan HAVE to tow the line. In india free of consequences they can run a story blaming Indian security forces for violence while absolving terrorists
22n meanwhile trust the necrophiles at @BBCWorld@BBCNewsPR to turn conflict into an advertising opportunity.. pinned tweet no less. No subtlety, they do this quite openly & shamelessly
23n in case the video gets deleted/unpinned here is @BBCNewsPR’s professional ethics. Honestly what can you expect from graverobbers?
24n Pakistan’s UN Ambassador @LodhiMaleeha meanwhile thinks concentration camps in which China is retaining upwards of 1 million Muslim Uighurs is hilarious.... listen to her sickening giggle
25n and if people are telling you there are restrictions on reporting & movement do refer to this thread.
26n as reported by @Natsecjeff, @francescam63’s sources in pakistan are confirming that a LARGE number of insurgents will be pushed in AFTER October. This is due to: 1) upcoming Financial Action Task Force (on Terrorism) review in October & 2) the logistics/training required
27n where @FT’s @SJFindlay asked @ImranKhanPTI about concentration camps for Uighurs in Xinjiang. The answer is still a classic
28n & Pakistan is set to formally annex “Azad” Jammu & Kashmir. So much for their protests. Good that will mean a formal recognition of the Line of Control as the INTERNATIONAL BORDER by them
29n meanwhile a former IAS OFFICER, whose political party failed miserably even before it could take off, is calling for violence cc @hussain_imtiyaz@AmitShah “No Eid till the last bit of insult is AVENGED & undone”
.30n This report is partially incorrect: 1) I just managed to get through not to 1 but 3 different sources reporting from Srinagar (on their mobiles) 2) Section 144 reimposed does NOT mean restriction on movement, just on gathering in groups >4 3) shops opening times reduced
31n the Muslims of Ladakh, who have NEVER identified with Pakistan or Kashmir are mostly Shia & a Nurbakshia minority. They seem happy with the abrogation of #Article370. Obviously the press are only interested in the 27.5% Sunni males... screw the rest
33n panoramic video of Srinagar, courtesy @AdityaRajKaul you can hear the Azaan being called out... and note NO GUNSHOTS.
34n Happy Happy Eid folks (humour interlude) ... looks like someone ain’t too happy - but it makes me very happy. 😂 Via @vikrantkumar
35n thankfully now Kashmiris will have economic opportunities... before this the only Kashmiris who did have economic opportunities in Kashmir were Omar, Mufti & Nabi Azad & their family & hangers on. Everyone else had to leave to be able to do anything
36n yes, cuz this guy plus immobile pregnant lady fled despite heavy security & because phone lines & internet are working fine, managed a direct line to GeoTV & reported. Why do I suspect there won’t be any video of this despite phone cameras? BULLSHIT
37n the problem with this report is that the Soura protests around janab sahib were on Friday. The same infamous protest with ISIS, JeM images & chanting of “Zakir Musa” in one part of the BBC/AJ video. Sunday 144 prevented congregation
38n glorious!!! My favourite thing about shankaracharya temple is that the Prasad there is a Mutton liver preparation called Tsok Tsarvan cooked in tamarind.
Possible errata: I’m informed that Tsarvan was served at Hari Parbat not Shankaracharya... though I distinctly remember eating Tsok Tsarvan on picnics to the hill. Anyway.. acknowledging for what it’s worth
40n both @BBCWorld & @AJEnglish have yet to give raw footage .... admitting in effect they both went with pre-spliced imaging fed to them - no verification & definitely one sided given they didn’t point out protestor violence, AQ, ISIS & JEM figures/flags
41n meanwhile confirmation of Sukhoi deployment to Srinagar & the installation of a “new” Air Defence ring around Srinagar airport (using obsolete S-125 pechoras)
43 #RUMINT: FS @VijayGokhaleIFS ripped into @BBCWorld at the presser & refused to take any questions from them calling them “fabricators”. The rattled BBC guys asked @MEAIndia for a one on one. Hence the request for RAW footage to confirm if they were fed or deliberately spliced
44n returning to @_Faysal maybe someone should ask him when he deleted these tweets ... before or after joining @TRTWorldNow organised by @MirwaizKashmir

THREAD
1 Putin’s speech is a masterclass on history & realism, please read it in its entirety. I’m posting the link so you can read HIS words, not the spin by assorted western hourly rental “analysts” en.kremlin.ru/events/preside…
2 first do these sounds like the words of an ethno-nationalist? He acknowledges the deep intermarriage & links between the two states. He states fact that these parts rejoined Russia starting 1654 variously from the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth, Ottoman Empire & Golden Horde
3 Notice he says “history” - not “territory”. Again he states facts here - Modern Ukraine as we know it, was created ENTIRELY by the Romanovs & the USSR. Please ask any “analyst” to factually disprove who made these additions. The deep blue is Zaporozhian Hetmanate.
Meet Anne. She’s “principal staff writer” at the public toilet called The Atlantic, but doesn’t know the difference between propaganda & history. Kinda like how she believes US claims of “upholding rules based order” while being the most egregious violator in the last 30 years
.of course Anne Applebum like most of her ilk (another example below) are extremely adept at mangling what others say, subtly manipulating speech to make it sound absurd. For example here’s “modern Ukraine” & who added what to it & when.
Notice the contradiction between what Putin said & what Einstein here editorialises it to the exact opposite. Mind you since you can see both in the same tweet, (🔴 the spin 🔵 what Putin said) you understand exactly how blatant the bullshitting is.
1 Introducing @SarahMaslinNir & @Nataliekitro, the latest Glavlit Commissars, whose #TruckersConvoy piece would do their NKVD handlers proud. notice how the military & L&O background of some organisers is constantly repeated to give the impression this is a military coup 🔴
2 next - notice how the word “occupation” is repeatedly used - the people are called protestors, or demonstrators but the action is constantly called occupation 🔵 this fits in neatly with Gorky’s dictum “hatred should be cultivated by an organic revulsion as far as the enemy is
3 …concerned. Enemies must be seen as inferior. I believe profoundly the enemy is our inferior, & is a degenerate not only in the physical plane but also in the moral sense”. Obviously @nytimes editorial policy to refer to this as occupation while farmers protests were protests.
1 I hope people are watching and appreciating what @PMOIndia has done with Sri Lanka? Allowing them to stew in a self made Chinese debt trap? This is excellent policy. Let me explain why: Sri Lanka was trying to play India off against China. It was smart, but for india it
2 was a black hole. There was no way India could match up to china’s financial & infrastructure resources. So we stayed out and allowed the debt trap to work its course. Now when the Lankans are on the brink of collapse we’ve lent them an emergency credit line. This is a good
3 thing because for a much much much lesser cost to the Indian taxpayer, in one day, we’ve equalised or neutralised billions of dollars & years of effort that China has put into colonising Sri Lanka. This is not just excellent policy, it’s extremely smart & fiscally prudent
1n All this talk of “security breach” is fine, but let’s see how badly the PM’s own security detail botched up consistently shall we? Watch this video first
2n security breach no1 - notice the PMs car is standing on the exposed side of an elevated highway. An elevation automatically exposes the target - and here the car should have been flanked by the escort vehicles on all sides. The concrete side barriers come only upto waist level
3 exposing the entire upper body, which is already vulnerable due to the glass (albeit bulletproof- still weaker than metal/Kevlar). Notice the the trees at the back? Now watch how the SPG will actually make this situation worse. The door is opened twice to enter the car giving
A heavily armoured high performance car is a must for the leader of a nuclear armed state, esp one with a No First Use commitment. The leader has to be protected from conventional, nuclear, biological & chemical attacks & make a quick getaway. How were you ever a bureaucrat?
.2 This is because as the elected leader only he can launch the retaliatory strike. Take a comparison with the Russian and US domestically developed cars - the Russian Aurus cost 1300 crores+ to develop newsweek.com/vladimir-putin… not including per unit cost, from scratch while the
3 American one developed from an existing line of GM & Cadillac vehicles cost 125 crores in 2020 dollar with 2021 USD-INR conversion. web.archive.org/web/2016082609…. The UK Jaguar cost 4 crores+ per car not including the one off development costs (no public figures available). Similarly
